How has retatrutide affected your heart rate?

Mine has actually dropped closer to normal when I check in the AM these days.
 
yes, reta jacked up my resting heart rate ~15bpm. and this was on 4.5mg/week. switched to tirz.
yes it makes it too high.
I had three events of tachycardia after light exercise commuting to work. So I stopped.
Question for the three of you:

Do you supplement potassium and magnesium daily? What supplements do you take, and do you take any supplements to support your heart specifically?

I have been on Reta for 3 months and I went from 58-60 BPM at rest to 71-73 (measured with the Oura ring). I am worried that I'm putting my heart under a lot of stress and considering switching.
You're not putting your heart under a lot of stress. You can handle a few extra beats per minute for the few months that it takes to lose the weight. After you get the weight down a bit you can drop your dose down and start playing with other glps, but it's not a rush. 10 extra bpm is not a big deal unless you have some serious issues with your heart.

Thanks! I have a theory that the people who had serious episodes don't supplement potassium and magnesium. The increase to RHR is alarming but should be harmless. My heart rate is at 65, the lowest it's been in years, so once I come off the reta I'll probably be enjoying 50-55bpm!

I used to do a lot of drugs and spent years with my resting heart rate at 70-80bpm... And hours above 200bpm.

Yes, I never had any other cardio issues when I was on reta just the increase in RHR .. about 14-15 bpm on 4.5mg reta every 6 days.
 
I really want to try Reta because my loss has slowed on tirz and I’m still 45 lbs from goal. I have borderline high BP and a script for a beta blocker- I wonder if the beta blocker would keep my HR from going too high on reta.
 
Week 1 of Reta (2mg), but I've been on Tirz for like 2.5 years, so not GLP-1 naive. Apple watch hasn't noticed a change yet.
 
Have been on Reta at doses starting at 2mg/week back in September last year working up to 10mg/week by January this year then steadily reduced back down to 5mg/week now. I have found that my RHR will not come down below @78 now unless I'm able to get at least 6.5hrs sleep, don't eat less than 2 hours before bed, and finish my workout 2.5hrs before bed. If I don't follow my body clock closely, that rate just stays higher on Reta. Before Reta, RHR average was around 63 at night. Considering bringing the Reta down closer to 3mg/week split as I'm all but done with my loss journey and looking at maintenance now. Hunger/food discipline support along with all the other side benefits are still desired. Not sure where my "floor" is for efficacy just yet.
 
My average resting rate increased by about 5bpm. Not too bad overall. I've been monitoring it long before ever starting reta so I had a pretty good baseline to work with.
 
My rhr increased from around 63-67 to about 72-73 after starting reta. Nothing uncomfortable and I can't say I actually noticed anything other than my fitbit telling me my rhr went up.

Over the first 8 weeks, my heart rate went up about 10 beats per minute, just this past week it has started going down again. Which is great. That said I was in the low 60s so going up to the low 70s was not really a big deal
 
I was consistently at about 65bpm. I am at about 72bpm now. However, I was at 145/85 blood pressure before, and after 2 months, I'm already down to 130/78. I would call that a huge net positive, worth the BPM increase.
 
my RHR went up about 10 bpm. When working out it makes my HR shoot up to max way faster than before reta. So, I have to have longer recoveries between weights sets or take more walk breaks when I run, otherwise I feel weird.

My rhr when I was on it for a couple months. About +6 rhr over time. Started at 500mg weekly ended at 2mg weekly

Mornings waking up its' 70-72, afternoon 76-78. Sleeping 53-58 depending if I actually sleep.
 
For me reta jumped my RHR by about 10-12BPM on average and completely tanked my HRV from an average of about 80 down to the 30s. It's one of the many reasons I'm switching to Tirz to see if that's a better fit for me. Since running long-distance is my main hobby, I'm not comfortable with that large of a change in my heart metrics. This was on about 5-7mg weekly dosage once a week of reta, btw. Sleep and supplementation, hydration, etc. were all dialed in well, so the only variable was the reta.
 
11 weeks of Reta, now at 3mg. No change to heart rate. Today mid-day was: 106/63, pulse 57

Honestly, I’m naturally tachycardic, usually around 90–95 bpm during the day, sometimes even higher. I did notice my resting HR at night was a little higher than usual, but probably not by more than 5 bpm, since my normal resting HR is around the low 70s

Currently on 2mg every 5 days for 1 month and couple days
 
Im up about 8 or 9 bpm, and sweatier, too. I get about 6 hours sleep a night with no choice to sleep longer. 6 doses in currently @1.5mg
 
I was on 1.5mg per week, now on 1mg per week. Admittedly, a low dose. No effect whatsoever on my resting heart rate, according to my smart watch.
