how often do you weigh yourself?

every day - I only record it weekly though, on shot day I record shot and weight. The daily can be a little crazy making though, I want to move to weekly but then I get stressed out that I'll somehow gain 10lbs in a week if I'm not watching it.

I weigh myself several times per week but, my official weigh-in day is Sunday and that is what I record.

Just generic amazon stuff.
I was just looking at BAC and saw that. It's at $16.99 right now.
I do once a week, except today. On my normal weigh day, I gained one pound. No biggie. Jumped on this morning after a wiz for the heck of it and lost 3lbs more from my last trip to the scale last week. I'm on the second week at 4mg on Reta, and started at 2mg for 4 weeks.

I used to weigh once a week. Now I just look in the mirror. Seems more accurate to me. I've weighed once in about 4 months.

Tested it with ph strips at 5 so thats in range....

Every morning after walking the dog (2-3 miles). I log the weight, then use my 7-day average to record my weekly status. I can fluctuate up to 2 lbs. per day, so this has been the most accurate method for me; keeps me from losing my sh*t if that 2 lbs. falls on Wednesday (my weekly weigh-in day); also keeps me accountable to myself throughout the week.

Every morning.

This thread made me realize I use a Wyze Scale X, so all that data should be recorded, except it hasn't been. I guess sometime in the last 5 months I deleted the app, and without the app open the scale just sends its measurements to Bluetooth heaven never to be seen again. Lesson learned.
The event horizon where density is so high for us (starting off), bluetooth signals get pulled in never to be seen again

Every day after I use the bathroom and before my shower. I have a Hume Body Pod and Hume band, so I track a lot of metrics every day. For me it's not just the weight. I keep an eye on my subq fat, visceral fat, SMM, LMM, body water, and a few other things. It keeps me on-track and allows me to make minor adjustments as needed. Seeing my progression all laid out in graphs is a great motivation to keep going strong!

I like this approach, I don't have a smart scale , I'm Saving for the new bodyscan2 . It looks interesting and will hopefully have good accuracy and usable data in an easy to use package

every day, and put the results in my app called (obvious title) 'Monitor your Weight'...this with a once weekly load of Tirz, naturally..

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work.

I'd have to get up an hour earlier to be at work on time. 😵

Very infrequently - less than once a month right now. My view is that if you are on and dialed in, you don't need a digital readout to validate it, especially considering the limitations of a scale...even smart scales.

We want to lose fat (and maybe gain some muscle) but that little number measures everything - fat, muscle, water, waste, bones, etc and can vary wildly from day to day depending on salt/carb intake, digestive issues, and female cycles.

Why ride that emotional rollercoaster more than you have to? I can lock in, do everything right, and then be up in weight the next day or week even though I lost fat or switch to no carb, eat 3500 calories of meat and cheese, piss a bunch and be down 3lbs the next day despite probably adding a bit of fat.

Anyways, it seems like some of you can hop on the scale and take it for what it is, data, and move on, so this probably doesn't apply to you like it did me. I was way too emotional about it and used it to break my diet whenever it didn't cooperate, "all that work for a pound? This is going to take forever... I'm done." If you think like this, consider doing this without frequent weigh ins. Once a month was plenty for me.

This, but I use a RENPHO MorphoScan Nova. Works very well and I generate a PDF report weekly to go over all of my numbers.

Lost 75 pounds in 4 months going carnivore back in 2021, and since day one at 250.6 to this morning at 174.7 I step on the biometric scale. They may not be 100% precise but they seem to jibe with Dr's readings at physicals.
The point is if you're driven by good news track it, if you're more inclined to see acute negatives as more weighty than chronic good news then don't track, just do a periodic spot check.
For what its worth I think part of this research itself is data driven, so embrace the data as it can save your health, wealth, and sanity as you delve deeper towards enhanced wellness.

I weigh every morning after abolitions but before eating/drinking anything. I only pay attention to the ones on sundays though. That way i get a nice chart in my health app with daily updates but only act on the weekly progress ones.

Almost every day. Because the weight fluctuates with food and fluids, I don't want to weigh once weekly.

I weigh myself every morning when I wake up. I only record the weight once a week when I take my Tirz. I get an InBody Scan once every four weeks so I can make sure that I’m loosing fat and not muscle.

just finished week 5 on reta and the scale stopped dropping so i’m feeling a bit blue. but i’ve lost 4kg total which is still nice, and i can feel myself getting bonier for sure.

definitely haven’t been eating much at all so i’m wondering if it’s just water/poop (lol) weight. should i weigh every other week instead so i don’t become discouraged?
Weigh yourself every week, helps you save time and me personally motivates me since I see greater weight changes compared to daily check ins

I also weigh daily. I usually compare Sunday to Sunday weights. Hume tracks it daily and shows ups and downs. I usually only compare this Sunday to last Sunday to be sure it's about the same. I'm on maintenance so I'm not looking to lose any more. It does help to keep motivated regardless of the frequency.
