How to get the darn tops off!

I tried to say what you did and again flagged. There is no rhyme or reason.

Now that Zippity knows you can't get the top off the vials he probably started you back at the beginning. 🙂

We are talking about the foil cap and not the whole top, correct?

I usually just take my thumb and pop off the foil cap. Some caps have a place to stay attached, so you can pop it back down as a lid. Make sure not to open on that side, if you have that type. I have never had an issue removing one, even after being frozen.

If we are talking about the whole top, plug and all that is another story....and we need to have a talk.

Dont take off the foil either! Just the colored plastic part

I'll probably get banned, if at least ridiculed, but tbh if I come across a difficult cap and I can't be fussed to get up, I'll crack that little bugger with my teeth just to get it started. I'm the only one using the product and I alcohol wipe the vials like my life depends on it, so I'm not really bothered. And the few times I've had to do that, it's been fine. Just don't tell my Dentist.

I had one vendor here in Thailand who's caps were all a pain to take off. I would wash my diagonal cutting pliers with alcohol and after trying to flip the cap off, used them to cut it the rest of the way off. I've used several other Chinese vendors since then, and their caps come off easily.

You can buy a vial opener or I used a regular sized bottle opener but was very careful otherwise you will pop the entire cap with rubber stopper off. Just pry gently or order a vial opener off Amazon and get it tomorrow

I've opened A LOT of them with no concern about seal and stopper until yesterday. Had to fight several of them to get 'em started but the seal and stopper never budged.

Anyone else see The Pitt episode where Santos can't get the cap off of the vyal, and concludes it's been tampered with? And I'm like No hon that does actually happen a lot!
