I’ve seen some people say not to freeze your Bac water because it does something to the alcohol in it. I’m not sure how true that is, but it worries me.

I ordered my first Reta kit and went ahead and used injection shop for the Bac water and supplies. The package has been delayed because of weather in the northern US and it has me worried about it freezing. It’s supposed to be delivered today (a week after it should’ve been) and it’s now 10 degrees where I live. Do you guys think it’s fine? Or should I not use it?

Don't worry too much about it. The issues that I've read about, specific to Hospira, are due to temperature separation. Which is why they specify room temperature. Not all manufacturers have that disclaimer.

I'm sure there is a specific chemistry reason but afaik let it get to room temp , give it a little swirl, if there is no visible separation you should be good.

Hopefully someone smarter will chime in.

I've frozen my hospira bac water. I tested the pH before and after freezing it (using pH strips from Amazon) and it was exactly the same. I used it after freezing and it's exactly the same as before I froze it. Wouldn't know I ever froze it. Used it for reta.
