I’ve been pinning the GLOW stack for around 3 weeks now and about a week ago noticed I was getting some large pimples on my face and neck. I put it down to hormones.

But tonight omfg I noticed pimples, some small some boil like, on my tummy and back and chest, and my vanity can’t take this 😭😭
I’m really enjoying the benefits I’ve been experiencing on this stack so I want to keep going but need to offset these gross ass pustules (gross-ass, they’re not actually on my ass … yet)

I bought zinc supplements about a week and a half ago, Tbf I’ve forgotten to take them daily but I’ll start being more vigilant with that.

Does anyone have any other advice? Do they go away on their own? Do I have to stop? I’ve dropped from pinning 12 units to 10, but I’m borderline anaemic at the moment so they’re very visible and I can’t unsee them.

How old are you? My understanding is that if you're under 40, this is more likely to occur because your body is still functioning properly with regards to collagen production.

I'm 46 so I'm super excited for my copper that's supposed to show up today...popping my kids multivitamin for the zinc right now šŸ˜‚

Just made up a new vial tonight bc I ran out of my last batch (this one is minus TB500 and added KPV) with this amount IMG_6549.webp

Hahaha I smash my daughter’s multivitamins too, mostly because that’s all the iron sups my stomach can handle lol. I’m 33 although some days my body feels 70 🄲

I think you are hitting that age thing where your body doesn't need the help with collagen production via copper, so you might consider at least reducing the amount or times you pinning this, if you want to continue.

Lucky you, because I wish I was 33 šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Thanks for the advice, I’ll see how 10 units goes and reduce a little more if I need to. I just don’t want to rely on Botox to ward off the fine lines!
Being 33 isn’t doing much for me. My life is my career and my daughter, no time for anything else šŸ˜…šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø I’m ready for retirement hahahah bring on 55!

Ooh, keep us all updated and hope you can catch a break soon!

I'm really interested in trying GHK-CU too to see if it really improves texture, reduces fine lines, etc. I've seen most people report seeing best results in 3 months too, so stick it out if you feel it's working for you!

Also, did you intentionally cut TB500 to replace with KPV? I've been researching best skincare stacks and GLOW/KLOW are on my radar, but I might just start with GHK-CU & KPV

Absolutely will do!! And thanks, I haven’t been able to find many other threads on the topics but one person said they pushed through and were glad they did. Other than the boils (ICK) my skin is starting to look nicer!

No, I cut TB out because I don’t have any at the moment lol. My original vial of glow I bought locally online just before discovering the grey market, and only have ghk bpc and kvp on me at the moment so just put those together until my wolverine blend gets here. Gotta say the kvp has really helped calm the ISR down a lot.

Yeah, GHK-CU/Glow/Klow really doesn't get highlighted as often as I thought it would considering it could be such a fantastic replacement for expensive chemical peels, botox, etc. Glad to hear you're seeing nice results though, pardon the copper uglies, of course.

And ahhh, makes sense - it will do in the meantime! Also, so good to know KPV does help with ISR because I've got sensitive skin and I do not want to have big welts on my bum šŸ˜³šŸ˜†

I'm looking forward to hearing how things go based on your new dosing/stack, wishing you all the best!

Hope it gets better for you.
I plan to start ghkcu too but scared of stings that are expected. Thanks for the zinc reminder.

Its not the copper uglies...people mistaken it and call it that. Thats actually your body adjusting and flushing impurities from your body. If you were breaking out in those areas prior and it just escalated than that is what's occurring.

I have heard that you basically have a lot of those spots brewing under the skin for ages, and copper brings them out. It's bad for the short term but good for the long term, just be careful if you're popping anything, don't want to damage your skin!

Yeah, it def seems to be that for us women of a certain age, the GHK-cu does what it's meant to do without the uglies. I've been pinning 2mg of just GHK-cu daily for over 10 weeks and my skin has cleared up, if anything.

is there ever a circumstance where that max dose would be appropriate? I always thought the max dose to shoot for on the ghk-cu was 2.0. But I don't actually remember where I read that.

I’ve seen a few posts on GLOW/KLOW but not many where people actually share their results at the end of a cycle!

I have insanely sensitive skin too if that’s helpful, like breaking out in small hives from using strongly scented moisturiser type sensitive haha. I’ve found my hips to be the best place, avoid stomach at all costs šŸ˜‚ also my ISR have gone down a ton since I started. I avoid pinning my butt because I do a lot of office work and feel like that would bother me a lot

Hope it gets better for you.

Thanks ā˜ŗļø honestly the sting isn’t too bad, just the reaction site but mine have gotten better over time. Now pinning a glutathione & vitamin C mix- that stung so bad I nearly cried šŸ˜…

Oh wow that’s interesting!! So not a reaction to too much copper? Other than my stomach I have had break outs in the other places, normally when I eat crappy foods or have PMS šŸ˜… so your advice would be to stick with it?

Thank you! I’ll stick with it. I use pimple patches to help so I don’t leave little marks on my skin (learnt that the hard way in my early 20’s)

I’ve been following the Anahlya (totally misspelt) protocol, apparently she was the one who came up with the GLOW protocol. It was the glow stack (50ghkcu, 10bpc, 10tb) reconed with 3ml BAC water & pinning 12 units a day. So a little under 2.0.

that's a bold statement

OP, i'm going to give you some real advice here.

Adding additional compounds to your stack is probably the worse idea you can do because you are already getting negative effects from your current stack, it literally makes no sense to me.

Be careful with the whole ā€˜purging toxins’ explanation tbh. Sudden boils/pustules after starting a new injectable stack sounds more like an inflammatory reaction, irritation, dose issue, or even sterility problem than some magical detox phase.

People getting skin boils isn't a detox, its an adverse reaction, idk how anyone can pretend otherwise.

The fact people call it ā€˜copper uglies’ doesn’t automatically make it harmless.

If it were me, I’d simplify the stack, reduce the number of variables or try reducing dose and monitoring for a week or through, before just ā€˜pushing through' or adding more compounds to something that's already causing me such a problem... thatts a horrible idea, no way around it.

I'm in my 50s and still my skin decides to break out whenever it doest like anything :/ The best solution I found for no marks and very quickly calming them is Stridex wipes off iherb.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve reduced the dosage and taken the TB500 out of this blend. I’m not sure it’s an adverse reaction of sorts as I’ve been on it for 3 weeks and the pimples/boils (only two spots id call boils) started maybe 5 days ago just on my face & neck, but last night I noticed pimples across my back, shoulders, and two little boils on my tum tum. Will monitor over the next week and see if they reduce/disappear with a lower dose

I was going to say this--it could just be your skin purging. This happens with a lot of skin care medications, especially retinoids. I would say to give it a week or two to see if this is actually purging, or a side effect. Topical is always an option for you as well!

Ooh, I’ll have to look into those wipes! I’m so careful with my skin, shower twice a day with detol wash, change my sheets & pillow cases weekly, don’t use harsh or overperfumed lotions or anything. I have chronically low iron so my skin is pale and borderline translucent at times haha just means every bruise and mark is that much more noticeable

I actually use topical copper peptides as well! I’ve been using a serum for years now, never had any problems. If anything I’ve found it calms the redness I get after a hot shower. I’ve reduced my tret cream (retanoid) usage to twice a week now too.

glad to hear. everybody is different. its important to listen to your body. without using terms like "adverse reaction" or "detox" i think the important part here is to focus on what your body is telling you... i think reducing the compounds you are taking is the right call, give your body some time to adjust and take it slowly.

This is how i use my GHK, topically. It has a very decent amount of medical literature showing it is more effective than tret for topical use on skin. personally i dont buy expensive injectable ghk, i go for ghk topical cremes and I use tret at night and ghk creme in the morning for my face.

Im an athlete and my face got kind of weathered from running in the sun a lot.. somewhat dry and leathery appearance developed, and no joke, 4-6 weeks on tret+ghk I have the face of someone 10 years younger.

good luck to you, OP!

Oh gosh 😲 it might not be purging then. sounds like we've got a fellow skin care lover here! šŸ˜Ž I hope the side effects clear up for you. there's really nothing better than finding a new skincare product that works!

Are you filtering?

I wouldn't keep using something that coincided with/brought on a mass breakout. I'd simplify. Started with GHK-Cu not Glow. Not Klow. Simple. And, I like it so much there's no reason to add anything to it. Started with 0.5mg then increased every few weeks by 0.5mg until I got to 2mg.

Hope you heal up soon and completely.
