I think I love it!

So, I purchased some Cagri, initially I found it for my sister but I couldn't resist trying it. Last Wednesday I pinned .125mg, I thought I felt it some, but Sunday I did my .50 Ozempic, followed by .25mg of the Cagri, and it’s like the old days! I'm in love. No real side effects, just great appetite suppression, and no food noise. It might just be the honeymoon phase, but I hope not, this stuff is amazeballs! Ive been singing It Feels Like the First Time by Foreigner all day long! My sister is loving it too, I really think this is going to help her get to her goal. I will update as we progress.

@Mykrodot Did you reconstitute with standard bac water? I'm trying to sort out (or ignore) the hullabaloo regarding pH before I start on cagrilintide, which will have a long wait unreconstituted in my freezer anyway.

I’m so glad that you are loving it! I have a kit in my freezer that I bought just in case I ever maxed out on Tirz, but I made it to goal, still on 10 mg weekly.

I mixed with backwater, somewhere (maybe on their chat) I had read where Cain said their Cagri is not buffered, and as an acetate is already acidic (I think he said a pH of 4). Someone else said they reconstituted theirs with backwater and it was like a 5 or 5.5 after reconstitution. So I'm okay with that, I did not add AA. There was no sting during injection. I'm not super concerned with fibrils or oligomers, but may filter my Cagri as it gets older. I haven't fully decided!

Just curious, if you're only taking 0.5 Sema, why didn't you just up the dose instead of adding a new thing?

Well, I'm diabetic and my doctor will only prescribe me a .50 dose of Ozempic every other week. I'm on maintenance (have gained a few pounds) and was a super responder while losing. I was 106 pounds my last doctor’s appointment and she didn't want me to lose any more. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get her to up me to weekly. I have already been doing weekly sema doses for a month or so as my sister has a lot of it. My thought was if I used the Cagri to bump my Ozempic I could leave my sister’s sema alone if my doctor will up my intervals. But why lie, there is FOMO too, inquiring minds need to know!

Edited to add, I also want to add the Cagri for food noise, it’s awful. I had crept up to 116 pounds, I'm currently 114, I want to get back down to the 110-111, I was maintaining before vacation and the holidays. I'm going to keep using it during maintenance to eliminate the food noise, Sema doesn't do that for me as well anymore.

Just curious, if you're only taking 0.5 Sema, why didn't you just up the dose instead of adding a new thing?

I'm also locked into a 5mg script Mounjaro (PCP rightly won't up it because glucose is stable) also built my stash around 5mg. Cagri adds a new angle (Amylin) without overlapping.

Wow, that's great, I'm so happy for you! And at such low doses, too!! It sounds like you'll be doing the sema and cagri inj on the same day... I've noticed some people inj cagri halfway through the week (inbetween regular weekly sema inj), as a little booster against food noise. Good to know the same day combo works so well

Luckily when I started Mounjaro I had been taking Metformin for about fifteen years. It worked great for me, my A1c was 5.7 I think, so I was shocked that FloridaBlue paid for it. But I think that was one of the reasons I did so well. My glucose was already well managed. I believe the secret to GLP-1s is finding the one that hits all of the right receptors. For instance I had lost all I was going to on 5.0 Mounjaro, we had a shortage and I was put on Ozempic. I started losing again on .25mg of the Oz. So I believe my main metabolic issue is GLP-1 related.

Have you ever visited an endocrinologist? Some of them specialize in obesity, it might be worth the visit. These peptides work on boosting inadequate hormone reception. If your thyroid is off it can be impossible to lose weight, same thing with PCOS. There is a metabolic reason you struggle to lose. Another thing you want to remember is a LOT of folks don't immediately respond, sometimes it takes a while to reach a working dose. Be patient with each peptide you try. If after giving it fair time it doesn't work try a different one or add an additional peptide. There are a lot of wonderful options out there to explore. I hope you find your mojo soon!
