My name is Steve, and I’m here with the same curiosity and commitment as many of you—to explore the potential of GLP-1 medications safely, responsibly, and with a clear focus on safety.
I’m 66 years old and currently on a personal journey to improve my health in a sustainable and informed way. Like many, I’ve dealt with the frustrating cycle of weight gain and loss over the years. At 5’7” and 220 lbs., I’ve reached a point where regaining control of my health is a top priority—not just to lose weight, but to move better, sleep better, and feel stronger overall. I’ve got a few physical challenges, including arthritis in both knees and a herniated disc, so my approach must be gradual and thoughtful. I’ve started implementing strength training with adjustable dumbbells, swimming (even though I’m not great at it), and an anti-inflammatory diet. I’m also undergoing testosterone replacement therapy under supervision.
After doing a fair bit of reading on the science behind GLP-1s, I’ve decided to try Retatrutide, and I’m here to learn from the experience and insight of this community. I appreciate that this forum emphasizes caution, safety, and science—not just hype. That’s the kind of environment I value and want to contribute to.
My goals are long-term: I want to improve metabolic function, reduce pain and inflammation, increase lean muscle mass, and enjoy a longer, more capable life. I know there are no shortcuts, and I’m not looking for one. I’m here to learn, share, ask smart questions, and help others when I can.
I fully support this forum’s commitment to safety and harm reduction. Responsible use and information-sharing are critical in this space. I understand and respect the posting rules, and I look forward to earning trust and participating more broadly in time.
Thanks again for having me. I’m grateful for the chance to learn from such a deep and knowledgeable community.
Best regards to all,
Steve
