Insulin Syringe wont draw from vial properly

Im having trouble drawing my peptides out using these insulin syringes i bought off amazon, and im not sure if it has to do with the brand of syringes, or if i am doing something wrong.

31g 5/16 inch 8 mm syringe, and whenever I try drawing fluid it only draws out drops at a time instead of a consistent flow, which makes it really hard to measure out the dose because it leaves air bubbles and i have to constantly push the air out and pull back to get my desired dose.

I’ve used both 30g and 31g syringes before on amazon that were from a generic brand and had no issues with them, always had smooth drawing of the liquid, but since I got these its been extremely annoying and difficult. Any thoughts would be helpful on the situation. After this box I will be switching to the more reputable brands like easy touch but still wondering if it is just a brand issue.

Probably low pressure in the vial resisting the fluid being extracted. If you have a needle without syringe, poke it in and see if air enters, if so then you had low pressure. Or just suck some air into the insulin syringe before poking it into the vial and inject that first to reduce the low pressure. If you inject too much air you can blow the rubber stopper off, compromising sterility.

The cheap syringes from amazon could just be really badly made but it is hard to see how they could be that bad and still work at all. The cheap ones I got from Amazon were fine.

I’ve had the same issue. I had to push air into the vial from the syringe so it had some pressure in the vial. That fixed my issue.

Recent vials did that. Had to draw the dose equivalent of air into the vial to keep it from hydra locking up. Vial has no pressure differential +negative vacuum=no fluid and hard ass draw on the plunger. Basicly

You didn't say what you were drawing out. I've notice that some peptides get thicker when refrigerated. Injecting the vial with air before the draw is always a good idea. Even then, some peptides just come out a drop at a time. It's kind of a pain in the ass, then again it helps when you are adding two peptides into one injection.

I had a similar issue with my first vials, and the reason was, I didn't vent them properly, while reconstituting. It's easy to fix it. Like someone above said, you can just pin it with a needle only, and the pressure will gone. Or, you can use the insuline syringe, with pinning the vial, and then suck out the air, until you remove the plunger from the syringe. Then the vial is properly vented. When you make it this way while reconstituting, you will avoid the issue basically.

Have you considered sticking in a venting needle while you draw?

I vent after I have reconstituted and when I fear up a dose I inject the equivalent amount of air into the vial before I draw the dose out.
That should get you flowing.

Whatever your dose is, say .46 units, draw in .46 units of air, and push it in. It really helps. I'm a syringe snob, I only use Easy Touch or BD 31g 8mm units. I also if you keep taking the syringe in and out of the stopper a couple or more times, push the juice back in and grab another one. I think it dulls them and hurts like a SOB trying to push it in my belly.

I’ve had the same issue. I had to push air into the vial from the syringe so it had some pressure in the vial. That fixed my issue.
