I found the throw away bit at the end about an increase in joint pain to be interesting. In my limited reading on a small number of boards, all anecdotal postings are the opposite. Has anyone here found their joint pain to go up when using a GLP-1?

Edit to add: As my own data point, I've had a welcome decrease in joint pain during my 1.5 yr use (so far).

My guess is that Drs actually diagnose and treat arthritis in lower weight people, rather than just putting in "obesity" as the issue. So there's are more people on GLPs with that diagnosis, even if there are is no change. It's a retrospective cohort from the VA and let's just say that is kind of common. As an example, above a certain BMI you can't even get a knee replacement for arthritis, so think of all the knee replacement procedures for arthritis that end up enriched in people on GLPs vs not.
