Hi everyone ! received this kit and noticed there’s quite a bit of color variation between the vials. Some are a light beige while others are noticeably darker/orange.

I’ve read that lyophilized peptides and related compounds can sometimes vary in appearance between vials due to manufacturing, moisture content, oxidation, or differences in the freeze-drying process, even when they’re from the same batch.

For those with experience using or testing 5-Amino-1MQ:

  • Is this amount of color variation considered normal?
  • Have you received kits that looked similar?
  • Did testing show any potency issues, or was everything within spec?

Everything else appears normal, but the color difference caught my eye.

Thanks!

I have one kit of 5a1 and they all look the same. I do not know that your is bad, but I would be concerned. Maybe contact the vendor? I hope someone else chims in, I'm watching this thread.

It could be due to varying levels of moisture in the vial.

It could also be a mix of bromide and iodide, though that is less likely because it would require a major error during production—unless your reseller isn't one of the ones on the forum's list that has a team of more than three people.

It is a rather robust small molecule. It doesn't run much risk in that regard.

5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium is a quaternary ammonium compound, with antibacterial properties, similar to the type found in Lysol or used in fish farming ponds. There is no risk of infection.

Reconstitute it with sterile water for injection, and if it turns to a nice, clear orange color, it's good. It takes effect in less than an hour, so you'll know quickly. It's a jolly good dope 🙂

I've only gotten two kits of 5A1MQ (50mg vials) and all looked identical when in powder form and once reconstituted. Definitely contact vendor like other member suggested.
