Hey everyone, I’m motherxpeach.
I’m 38, female, and I started Ozempic about 3 years ago. It was amazing at first. I lost around 15 lbs, but the most amazing thing was that for the first time, that constant voice in my head telling me to eat finally shut up. I wasn’t obsessing about food all day and that felt huge.
Eventually I plateaued, then lost coverage and couldn’t afford paying out of pocket. After a few months off, I tried compound tirzepatide through a telehealth company. They started me on 10 mg, then bumped me to 12. It helped, but the price was still high and I knew it wouldn’t be sustainable for me long term.
Then I got the notice they weren’t serving California anymore. So now I’m back to figuring things out.
I’m really glad I found this space. It helps to hear from people who’ve been through similar things and are figuring it out too. I’m here to learn, take in what I can, and hopefully find something that works for me. Looking forward to being part of the community.
