Has anyone here had any experience going above the 15mg max dose available on prescription for MJ. Been on the 15mg dose for 6 months now and it's effects are waning. Considering going up to 17.5mg or even 20mg instead.

Probably as tolerated, If you've been on 15mg for a hot minute, I wouldn't hesitate to go to 16mg and see how that works for you and go up from there. I got family that would be on 15mg of Tirz. If it weren't for taking 2mg Reta every week along with 12.5mg of Tirz. They still got 50lbs to lose and the Tirz is free on their insurance, so I think they'll be there pretty soon like you are now.

I used to do 10 mg every 5 days of Tirz. Eventually added some Sema for more appetite suppression( a few days after 10 mg Tirz.) I was using the Glip1 plotter and was able to achieve steady state17-20 mg weekly dose. Now I am back to weekly in maintenance.

I'm on about 18mg Tirz/week with 6mg Reta/week. The only side effect I have is I burp quite a lot after eating, not nasty, just regular burps.

I was also taking Cagri but I didn't feel like it did much. I cut it out a couple weeks ago and have noticed no difference.

Interesting, seems like Tirz and Reta combined is a common suggestion on this forum. I may have to try that.

Wonder if it would be better to stack with another glp than to go higher dose.

There’s no better/worse study that addresses that, as far as I know.

Do you already have Reta? If not that makes the decision easier.

I’ve had SFA for sides on Tirz or Reta. I split dose, but I don’t expect issues with Reta at 15mg/week based on my experience at 10mg/week.

I have Tirz also, I stack it on the odd occasion.

I've taken up to 17mg of tirzepatide with no issues. There is currently a clinical trial testing higher doses of tirzepatide, but the actual amounts haven't been disclosed. I think maybe 20mg and 25mg, but pure speculation.

Novo Nordisk recently applied for FDA approval for higher doses of injectable semaglutide up to 7.2mg, which is 3x the previous highest dose if that is any indication.

You'll be fine going up from 15mg as long as you're tolerating the medication at 15mg.

I started stacking semaglutide (small dose) once a week and that broke a stall that I was experiencing back in late November / early December.

Someone earlier suggested 16mg… going from 15mg to 16mg is likely meaningless being well inside the stacked practical tolerances of fill, reconstitution, and drawing/dosing. 15mg to 16mg is a 6.6% increase while 12.5mg to 15mg is a 20.8% increase. 15mg to 18mg would be a similar step (20% increase).

Wouldn’t that be more important if they were following the clinical protocol instead of customized dosing?

Clinical protocol doesn’t go past 15mg.

My point was 1 extra mg is a tiny bump at 15mg, measuring errors plus fill variances could easily stack to be more than that. Perchance not meaningless, but pretty small/incremental.

Oh, good point! Clearly I’m still learning

Personally, adding reta didn't work. Im thick and last couple weeks I been pinning around 19.5mg per week. It works slowly. 1-2 pounds every 10 days. Slow but still trackable.
What you don't know is how potent your tirz is. Early on I had some pretty weak compounded shit. If you're a big caber tosser, you need juice!

I just want a little more than 15mg, so some weeks I will inject 17mg and some weeks 16mg, probably more of a placebo effect than anything, because I agree that 1mg when you’re on a 15mg dose is probably inconsequential. I had originally planned to continue dose escalation to 20mg or even 25mg, but decided to stack instead and plan to back off the tirzepatide at some point, but just can’t seem to do it on shot day.

If MJ = Mounjaro, then you do have an idea of potency. Well, if you're getting MJ or brand X?

Im planning on stacking tirz and reta. Do you pin on the same day or spread them out?

There are high-dose tirz clinical trials wrapping up now. You should be okay to try it, just proceed with caution
