Mitochondria Repair

I read here it’s spicy. I picked up buffered from Nexaph and … yes it’s spicy. My first pin I was like “whoah, so that’s what they mean!”

I’ve been going 20mg 3x per week. Picked it up to try to decreasing adhedonia I have with tirz. It does help with energy, and my arguably poor sense of humor is showing up more.

The adhedonia… not really decreased. Prolly a serotonin problem. Boo.

NAD+ does tend to make my hot flashes revisit. Not sure what that counts for?
I can't figure out if it's spicy or not! No ISR, but it seems to hurt half the time, but not at all the other half.

Ss-31 doesn't hurt, but it does itch for a little bit.

How are you supposed to store unreconstituted vials of NAD+? Ai says should not freeze the vials because of its delicate structure. I might have screwed up. I was freezing it with the rest of my peps. It said ice crystals can form and damage it. Ai did say freezing other peps was ok. How are all of you storing it?

I started the first small dose of NAD+ on Monday night. No particular problems with the injection site, but I did have a bit of trouble falling asleep. Do people generally take their doses early in the day?

I also have SS31 on the way from Jeep and was wondering about what time of day is best for these mitochondria-boosting peptides.
I always like to do them in the morning as they can keep you up nights if you do them too late in the day. SS-31 and Mots-C to start my day and Tesamorelin ipamorelin and GLOW in the evening along with a couple IU of GH.

Next week I will be finishing a cycle of tesamorilin/ipmorelin which I am very happy with. My next journey might be to repair my mitochondria. I am in my early 60s so my guess is my mitochondria are in rough shape. I have a ton of questions about this subject. I am on high dose tirz (maintenance) and I am at my target weight. I work out every day. Swimming, hiking, weight lifting. I might be in the best shape I have every been. I have mots-c from sry, ss31 is on the way from Jeep. I recently learned I need to start nad+ first. I will order that soon. I also have 5‐amino 1mq if needed. My questions are:

how do I know my mitochondria need repair?
What can I expect when they are repaired or optomized?
Will my swim times improve?
Will I get stronger?
Do I need more than NAD+, SS31 and mots-c?
What should a cycle look like?

I would love to hear your thoughts and hear about your experiences.
I just finished the following NAD, SS31, Mots-C protocol. I took my last MOTS-C shot. Yay!!!!!

I was able to answer most of my questions:
1. I guess my mitochondria needed repair because the protocol helped me.
2. ...
3. My swim times did not improve.
4. I am stronger but I think it is from weight lifting while using Tessa/Ipa but the protocol most likely gave me a bit extra energy for longer more frequent workouts.
5. Still wondering this.
6. I used the protocol that I attached.

When I first started the NAD+ I did not notice anything till I got up to 100 mg. All I noticed was a slight flushing feeling In my chest 5 min after the 100mg.

My first shot of SS-31 I took after a long 14 hour work day. About 10 min after the shot my mind became sharper than it had been in a long time. The feeling of intense fatigue from working physically all day was gone. I was still tired but not destroyed like I was before the shot. Unfortunately that was the only time I felt any of the SS-31 shots.

Somewhere in the middle of the protocol I was traveling Internationally and I decided to kill of the last 250 mg of NAD+ in 1 shot so I wouldn't worry about TSA returning to the usa. It was a mistake and I don't recommend it. I felt an uncomfortable rush and tightness in my chest that lasted about 4 hours.

My first 2 Mots-c shots stung and left a welt that lasted a week or so. I started diluting it with 1ml per 5 mg. I also rigorously massaged the area after the injection. I did not have any more long lasting swelling or stinging at the injection site.

Somewhere near the beginning of the Mots-c part of the protocol I noticed my physical reaction times had improved quite a bit. If something fell of the desk or table my hand would instantly dart out and catch it like when I was young. I also started noticing memory improvement and other cognitive improvements. While talking, that word at the tip of my tongue, that before never came started to flow out of my mouth without pause. These changes happened gradually and are still with me today.

Towards the end of the MOTS-c part of the protocol I decided to take the NAD+ before the long physical 14 hour days. I noticed a definite increased amount of energy that comfortably carried me through the long day.

I was hoping for increased physical performance and strength but there was no evidence of it. I was surprised by the cognitive improvements. I hope the improvements stay around now that the protocol is over. I will most likely do it again in the future. I might also take the NAD+ before long work days.

I’m curious of your Tesa/ipa regimen. What doses, how long, blend or separate peps? Thanks

Tessa 1mg mixed in the syringe with 300 mcg Ipa. 5 days on, 2 days off for 12 weeks. 2 mg of tessa bumped up my heart rate too much I had to lower it to 1mg. I buy 10 mg kits of each. The Ipa vials last much longer.

How many cycles do you think you will do a year? I'm still in the midst of my first cycle.

That will depend on if and how long the improvements last. In 6 months I will think about doing it again.

Thanks. I’ve ordered a Tesa/ipa blended kit with the same ratio. 10mg/3mg. How did it affect your sleep ? And did you dose at night before bed? That’s my plan.

I try to pin right after my workout. Sometimes late mornings, sometimes evening. It does effect my sleep especially if I take it later. Falling asleep is easier but I wake up more often during the night. Even when I took Tessa at 2mg I was still able to quickly fall asleep which surprised me with the increased heart rate.

No need to freeze NAD, it will keep for years at room temperature if not reconstituted. Check PH and adjust to 7.0 if needed, unbuffered NAD+ will cause PIP.

Hi again. I administered the last MOTSc dose for the SS-31, MOTSc, NAD+ protocol today. I agree with your assessment. I noticed the most energy boost during the SS-31/NAD+ weeks. Clean energy both mentally and physically. The MOTSc/NAD+ weeks were also energized but didn’t seem to be an all day boost. I’m curious about the lasting effects too. This is my first experience in the peptide world. When the RS is ready, will research again.

I just started Tesa and Ipa and had the same experience, no problem falling asleep but woke up more times during the night than i even usually do. Normally I wake up 2 or 3 but this had me waking up 4 or 5 when i pinned both before bed. Moved the Tesa to the AM and kept the Ipa before bed and same story. So this week plan to try keeping the Ipa to post-workout/early afternoon and moving the Tesa back to before bed and see how that goes

Thank you for such detailed recounting of your experiences. I am fascinated by this protocol. Seriously considering it after my current GHK-Cu cycle is over.

Thank you, too, for sharing the protocol.

Just to update, tried going back to Tesa before bed while keeping the Ipa in the morning and early afternoon and found myself waking up every 60-90 minutes again lol. Settling now on Tesa/Ipa first thing in the morning and second pin of Ipa post-workout, early afternoon at the latest. Knock out almost immediately at night that way and only wake up twice, which is on the low end of average for me. I know most people seem to sleep better with the bedtime pins for this stack but for those of us who experience the opposite at least there’s a way around it lol. Definitely noticing body recomposition after just 3 weeks too so worth sticking it out

How much are you pinning at night that you're getting this sleep disruption?

For comparison, before the Tesa/Ipa stack I was taking GHRP-2 and Sermorelin. The GHRP-2 I also had to take AM and afternoon, but that was because of the almost immediate hunger it caused that I didn’t want to deal with before bed lol. The Sermorelin I took consistently at night. My sleep then was noticeably deeper and more restful than pre-peptides. I woke up pretty consistently every two hours, but other than the kind of weird consistency of it that wasn’t much different than normal, so I didn’t change anything because of it. All things considered I’ll probably eventually go back to the GHRP-2 over the Ipamorelin because the hunger during the day wasn’t that big of a deal, so I’d prefer the increased potency and extra sleep lol. On the other side of the stack I’ll eventually work in CJC and just keep trying combos and dosages and timings til I find the one that works best for me

I apologize @swimmer this kind of got off the original topic of Mitochondria Repair lol, fwiw tho and to kind of tie it back together, one reason I am tinkering with the Tesa/Ipa stack now is I want to get it squared away and have it as a consistent backbone for when I start working on my own mitochondria repair next month. I want to settle on dosing and everything before then and not be making changes to Tesa/Ipa so I can better isolate the mitochondria peps and attribute changes and effects to them with more confidence

Have you tried pinning the Tesa at .5mg or so at nighttime? That seems to be the sweet spot for a good night's sleep for me with Tesa/Ipa. I ran out of Ipa, but my preliminary sense of all this is that for the best sleep I've had in a long time, .5mg Tesa and maybe 150-200mcg Ipa was the right amount in the ratio. I didn't sleep as well at 1-1.5mg Tesa. I liked the larger doses of Tesa during the day. Those were amazing for my mood and mental focus

Working on another growth hormone secretagogue ATM, and it's not nearly as good, though I'm probably underdosed. I will take a break in between, but when I go back to Tesa/Ipa, I will go back to something like .5mg at about a 3/1 ratio and 1-1.5 during the day. That seemed to be the sweet spot for me for maximizing the value of Tesa/Ipa.

Everyone's chemistry is a bit different, and I had Reta heavily informing my own biology at the time.

Mitochondrial repair is fundamental to my peptide program, and optimizing sleep hygiene is one of the key missing elements. I didn't realize Tesa would be as helpful as it was once I started to dial in the dosing. More definitely wasn't better for nighttime for me.

I hadn’t thought of splitting the Tesa, I’ve had 2mg 1x/day locked into my head as my plan from the beginning but that makes sense, I will give that a shot at some point too. I’ve also had Reta going on the entire time, but I am at a lower maintenance dose with that now than I have been in the past. Eventually I plan to give DSIP a try as well, but similar to the mitochondria I want to get this aspect of it settled and stable first so I can attribute any changes later to DSIP alone.
