I have been suffering from "mommy thumb" for a few weeks now in my dominant hand and it has been so incredibly painful. I've been to the doctor and done all he prescribed: icing, exercises, wearing a thumb splint and while those things stopped it from getting worse, it did not feel like it was getting better. I decided to start a course of BCP-157 and TB 500 to see if it would help. While I was reading up on using those peptides, I came across arm scraping for helping relieve and decided to try it. I watched several YouTube videos and then did it. It was the most relief I've had in a month! It did not make it go away miraculously or anything but it felt so much better. I am waiting on the right tool to get here and will keep doing it and using peptides. I hope this will help because the doctor warned me that if it does not resolve, I might need cortisone shots or surgery.

Not a parent…what are y’all moms doing with your thumbs?!?( LOL sorry, I’ve just never heard of that of that condition.)

I’m so glad you are feeling better! I hope things continue to improve. 🙂

Side note, if mommy thumb is what I think it is—pain with movement or contact—idk what exercises you were given, but if you haven’t done these already, research them on YT and if you think they’ll help, give them a try just don’t overdo: chin tuck, median nerve glide & maybe radial nerve glide and ulnar nerve glide. (I like the physical therapists Dr. Jo and Bob& Brad for videos, they are legit.)

Yeah, ditto, not a parent so trying to figure out what Mom Thumb is? I'm a potter, is it like Potters Wrist?
