Anyone notice since beginning Tirzepatide they are way more susceptible or vulnerable to motion sickness? I never had any issues before but now it seems to hit every other week when I'm riding in the car short or long rides. I usually try to focus on something in the distance but I am wondering if this is a side effect that will always persist or will diminish with time?

Wonder if this is related or just a coincidence ?

I've always gotten motion sickness pretty bad when riding, but it does seem to have gotten worse since I started tirzepatide. That's an interesting observation.

I'm also having an issue with my ears. Apparently, weight loss can affect your ear canals due to the loss of fatty tissue causing your eustachian tubes to remain abnormally open, allowing sounds to be transmitted directly to your inner ear. Because of this, I can often hear myself breathing. It is both annoying and painful. My reason for mentioning this is that it makes me wonder if the weight loss can also cause issues with one's inner ear, which is one of two "balance centers" in your body. Time to go research!

So here's what I found. Weight loss can cause Eustachian Tube Disfunction (ETD) -

Article on weight loss causing ETD

And ETD can in turn cause issues with vertigo -

Vertigo Due to ETD

But it is inconclusive about whether or not ETD can make motion sickness worse. I would think so, because motion sickness occurs when your vestibular and visual signals don't match. So if your ears are janky, it follows that one would be experiencing vestibular cues differently. BUT that is just my uneducated guess. Google ai says they're related and that ETD can cause motion sickness, but I don't fucking trust ai. It's just there, clogging up the top of my searches.

That was a fun rabbit hole!

Also, super glad the Epley worked for you! Vertigo sucks so bad. It's incapacitating. Like being falling down drunk but without any fun parts. I hope you never have to deal with it again 🙏
