Because semaglutide tends to have stronger GLP-1 effects than tirzepatide, I suspect that semaglutide would be worse. Have you discussed using a lower dose? I know you were on the medicine for a while. I was on 10 mg of tirzepatide and am now of 5 mg. I haven't reached my target weight and might never do so but it wasn't worth the side effects. But I feel pretty good on 5 mg.Diarrhea and later some throwing up after 6 months.
What side effects did experience moving up to 10mg, May I ask?Because semaglutide tends to have stronger GLP-1 effects than tirzepatide, I suspect that semaglutide would be worse. I had diarrhea on 2.5 and 5 by the time I was on 7.5 it tapered off. I had to skip a week for a procedure and my dr said I can take the 7.5 mg again after skipping a week. That’s when I got really sick and ended up going to the ER from nonstop diarrhea and then threw up. My dr told me that I can just take 7.5 again the next week and would be fine but I decided to do 5 mg instead. Got sick again. He told me to skip a week and go down to 2.5 mg but I have been to scared to. He seemed to think this was all an unusual reaction.Because semaglutide tends to have stronger GLP-1 effects than tirzepatide, I suspect that semaglutide would be worse. I can see why you'd be scared. If you're taking compounded or grey, then you can start at 1.2 mg for four week, then go up 1.2 to 1.3 mg every four weeks. That should, hopefully, avoid making you sick again. From now on, know that you if managed to get yourself to a higher dose and then had to stop, even briefly, you need to slowly re-adjust to a higher dose. All of this presupposes that the benefit you get from tirzepatide is worth the side effects, at least some of which you'll undoubtedly get even if you follow my advice and even if my advice even works well. You might just decide it's not worth it. From what I've read, after being off tirzepatide one week (i.e., two weeks between doses), a person can normally resume at the last dose. Obviously, that general statement does not apply to you. Good luck.I had diarrhea on 2.5 and 5 by the time I was on 7.5 it tapered off.
