My poor body doesn't like me at the moment. I've been so tired and ran down lately. It's been hard even putting one foot in front of the other. I just thought it was because all my body has been through with all the surgeries and all. Well I was wrong.
I had my annual visit and bloodwork with my Dr. It was a mess.
My potassium is dangerously low.
My b12 and b 6 are low
My vitamin D is low
My liver enzymes were out of whack.
The potassium and vitamin D are a constant battle for me. The d is because of my lupus and not being able to be outside in the summer much.
The liver issue is because of the 2 strong antibiotics I was on for the dog bite.
The other stuff she thinks is because my body isn't taking in enough food, liquid and protein.
So I am taking individual supplements for each issue. Protein is the hardest for me because I can eat eggs or a lot of meat. My stomach has so many issues.
I've had 3 major surgeries in less than a year. If I don't get this all taken care of I won't be having my last one.
So I'm concentrating on eating 5 small meals a day. It's hard because I'm just not hungry. Without my husband pushing me I don't think I could do it. I'm pretty sure subconsciously I have a eating disorder developing. It has nothing to do with the tirzepitide. It's me because of my battle with obesity my whole life. I finally am looking good for the first time ever. So I have to work on my body dysphoria issues. I'm not going completely off of tirzepitide. I'm just lowering the dose for now. I have my first counseling appointment set up for next week. I'm just glad I'm realizing it before it's to late.
So here's to getting myself back on track.

That is a LOT to deal with. Sounds like you’re taking all the right steps, and taking them with courage and introspection. Congrats especially on making that counseling appointment. I have so much respect and admiration for this, and I hope things turn around soon. Keep us posted?

I am no expert, but potassium supplements tend to be weak, as are sports drinks, because too much potassium can hurt you bad....What I have always done is use 'salt substitute' back and forth with regular salt at the dinner table. Salt substitute is potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride...very high concentration of potassium. If you try this, just read the label and make an informed decision on use...GL
