My first pins of testosterone!

I had another post up asking to be talked in or out of it. And so many guys my my age ( 50's ) say it will make me feel better, and at this point I need that.

I ordered larger guage syringes but got the wrong ones, and glad that happened now! Will explain in a minute.

I have had bloods done recently, tests in the morning both times shooting in the 200s. Dr. said thats not good enough. Dunno if its an insurance thing, or my dr doesnt like it but whatever.

I got my own. Not through a trt clinic, and I know i will need bloodwork again once I trash my natural test in the next 6 or 8 weeks and will absolutely get with a clinic or at the very least quest blood tests to see where im at and to see how I feel by then.

Starting at 100 a week for the time being, needles were wrong ( I ordered easy touch 29g and got some chinese brand instead nope nope nope ) so I had to make do with my 31g insulin pins.

Well no problems at all! On reddit some genius has a great idea for drawing the warmed up test using a needle cap. It worked amazing!

Decided on 100mg per week, and opted for 3 pins my first week which would only be 13 units each. Was super worried about the dreaded oil lump, or pain like I had with klow. Nothing. Pinned another 13 today and in a few days will pin another 13. If no issues next week will just split the dose and do it twice a week or every 3.5 days.

My stack is now tesa 5 on 2 off, tirz/reta each once a week and Testosterone.

Im super excited to recomp my body, lose my last bit of weight and spend the summer swimming and camping. Just picked up an old low miles 08 crv exl and picked up a roof rack and electric bike carrier for it. Last summer I was the fattest fuck in the room, this summer will be much, much different.
I recognize that purple test cyp vial. Im on their telegram. I buy off the dude i gave ya via dm. Anyhoo, after 3 weeks, if all you think about is eating and fucking its working. Get those bloods....watch hemacratit,hemoglobin,estrogen,hdl,ldl,psa,etc... you may have been better off going with a clinic/company/sponsor for the first year till you learn the ropes, then you can self trt. Im on week 4 of 300mg test/300mg mast muddafuckaaaa! (got that from you)

You don't "need" a dr or clinic, but if you are just starting out and don't necessarily know all the ins and outs, no harm in working with someone for a bit to get dialed in and then continue on your own after that.

Big, huge assumption on your part that a clinic is going to get you dialed in or watch anything other than total T. Not to mention the insane rates you're going to have to pay for the supervision that could instead have gone to private blood tests, ancillary drugs, supplements, and a diet to support it.

Many, many TRT "clinics" simply sell you the script and do bloods because they have to. They have no interest in explaining free versus total, SHBG, looking at lipids, or God forbid getting on top of neurosteroids in advance.

I'm sure there are plenty who won't do this, but all of the information is out there for you to become more educated (on the specific subject of your own hormones and health as they relate to your pipeline of substances) than 80% of professionals within a matter of weeks if you're dilligent.

Can't go through my dr again shes already shot down the test and might drop me as a patient if she finds i went behind her back. Shit yea!!! 300 of each? You must feel like WALKING GOD!!! ADD SOME ANAVAR OR PRIMO YOU ANIMAL!!!

Yea ima have to get my own. Tonight when the dust feom the day settles going to tey to join a clinic or figure out how and where to submit my previous labs and have my levels of everything checked.
You might want to look into talon wellness dot com, in LV they will take labs up to 6 months old and give you the choice of compounding or pharmacological treatment. One of the lowest cost telehealth for T

Yeah I was on GLP1s for a month before starting TRT. And man, TRT at 100mg / wk made a wild difference.

Welcome to your new life
the first 3 month are insane
and then the recomp start to happen AND IT FEELS GOOD 😛💪💪
stick to 100 mg weekly split 2 pin IM and after 3/4 month try 200 and see for a 3 month cycle to push the enveloppe

Nice! My dr doesnt want to prescribe it to me though...
I got a doctor for one vial for travel purposes, and at the time, a second opinion on some sides I was having (which I thought was from prolactin). Whatever you do, do your own research. Even reading a lot of posts on here confirm my thought a lot of doctors in this space aren’t that wise. Aside, most conclude it is best to treat e2 by sides, not simply the number. I know as many people that have had issues with crashing e2 as with those from too much (crashing your e2 is worse than it being a bit to high IMO). Armidex, for example, is very powerful. .125mg can have a huge effect. Doctors now seemingly prescribe it automatically. Defy is good. Anyway, good luck!

I bought the Armidex (Anastrozole), but never used or needed it.

It is just as important to have a good balance of estradiol (estrogen), you do not want too low or too high.

I have friends that got it with their first prescription through TRT clinics..

That's just straight up stupid.

I haven’t used them but Talon TRT is like $90 a 10ml vial. And is prescribed. And they’ll prescribe all kinds of extras if you want too.

Youll
Laugh at their peptide prices

Gr33dyOctopus,

The TRT clinic I go to uses cypionate. I use cyp and prop depending what I am doing. I suggest you look in to Propionate since you are buying it yourself and going to pin 3x a week. I really like it now that I have used it. It is quicker acting and 3x a week or every other day will work well.
My estrogen runs higher than a lot that I see, but my doc whom is on TRT too and pins 3x a week said even 90-100 is fine if the ratio is balanced and mine is. I forgot the ratio to what he was referring, but I have never needed AI.
If you decide at some point to run higher volume I like 25g for glutes and 27 for quads then 29 for delts and subq.

Ends up being pretty cheap when they have their 15-28% off sales...

That is hella cheap, im still trying to figure all this out. Wish my dr was on board.

I appreciate that greatly, the more I talk about this the more confused I get. Looking into goodlabs now. I didnt realize the initial bloodwork after starting right away was so important....

Yea im looking at goodlabs but again im lost. Where should I start where I can get my hand held, but not totally screwed over financially by a bunch of grifters?

I pay for the membership, it's well worth it to me. You could literally take my list, run it through GPT, and buy for yourself at Fitomics.

This is my current "baseline" while the previous screenshot was my baseline + TRT. I run baseline pretty much any time I do anything lab wise. Their last two sales were 16% and 28% off. $203 with 28% off is $146. No lab draw fees with the membership. I've gone in to have a literal $4 lab drawn, no big deal.

There’s a goodlabs promo where if you give blood you get free testing. My friend who likes to run at 1400 total T and has to give blood monthly, so that’s how he gets his labs.

This? Are you a premium member?

I just do the standard membership... the difference in features doesn't matter to me. You could game the membership, buying it, buying 6 months of labs, and cancelling it (still have it for 3 months).

Not worth the game to me. I'm not opposed to paying for a year up front for Premium also but I haven't thus far.

When a sale hits, I buy the labs I expect to need for the next 6 months since that's how long you have to use the requisitions. I save the PDF in a folder with the file name being the when and what the req is for so the Labcorp chicks can make sure they pull the reqs since they can see all my pending labs.

If possible, I would recommend finding a good functional medicine doctor. They can help optimize your hormone levels through regular testing and ongoing monitoring. In many cases, insurance will cover office visits and laboratory work, and testosterone cypionate is generally inexpensive. The goal is to maintain stable hormone levels while determining the dosage that works best for you. It’s also important to monitor hemoglobin and estrogen levels regularly. Along with treatment, prioritize consistent exercise and stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

No, i definitely dont need to game the system. Rather go your route and use it legit and monthly as needed.

Not to waste your time, but can you give me a quick checklist id go through to qork with them.

I have two test and free test and everything else in the last 4 months. Actually within maybe 3 months. I also had a surgery in Feb so full metabolic panel before the surgery, and then another before my last procedure on the 11th.

Very recent fairly full panels of bloodwork, and it all looks alright all things considered. Thats why I thought i was good to start this test now, and then worry about bloodwork again after im a little ways in.

Apparently not, and im an idiot for thinking that? guess my confusion is i need additional specialy bloodwork or to work with a clinic pronto, BEFORE I start test?

Is that what im doing wrong???
Im not the brightest crayon in the box, but really trying to grasp all this...

Ty for your time buddy.

So, outside of my regular dr, find a dr. That will prescribe me test through my insurance? Cause its a no go thru my primary physician.

Oh hhh. Can I submit my stuff to a trt clinic and have THEM try to bill my imsurance?!?!? That would be great if possible.

First thing you need to decide is what you're actually doing. You're pinning black Test, but talking about getting a legal Rx, and wanting to run labs. The labs I run are in that screenshot. I want a Rx for myself so I use TRT Nation for that.

You need your baseline bloodwork that shows what they're looking for so they can Dx your hypogonadism... then at 8 weeks, 6 months, and 1 year into treatment, they'll want those labs again. I run considerably more labs than the minimum. They could write a script from the perspective of you already taking Test, but I don't know the ins and outs of that... harm reduction is one way of looking at it.

This is what TRTNation wants as a minimum, and what they charge for it.

Finding a script mill that will bill insurance isn't something I've found. TRT Nation is ~$250 every 10 weeks. Not the cheapest way to get test, but cheap enough to get a legal Rx, supply, and someone to talk to if I'm into that.

I may look into a concierge doctor that would Rx Test and let me drop TRT Nation. Overall that would cost more than just TRT Nation but offer me additional resources. I also haven't looked into filing TRT Nation stuff on my health insurance. My deductible is high enough I'm generally unlikely to hit it currently.

In my experience, most primary care physicians don’t have extensive knowledge of TRT. On the other hand, some TRT clinics seem focused on moving patients through as quickly as possible. I spent a lot of time researching and reading before choosing the clinic I use. I do my own injections and visit the clinic once a month for follow up appointments. After my hormone levels stabilized, I started getting blood work done every 60–90 days.
No matter which clinic you choose, they’ll likely want to do their own blood work before starting treatment so they have a baseline and can develop their own treatment plan.
If you started TRT on your own, take your original blood work with you and just be honest with them. Tell them you want to have it monitored. I did my wife’s injections before we got her in with the right provider.
