I am so excited to find this forum. Technology is not my strong point so it took a while🤣
I am a 59 yr old female with hypothyroidism and menopause. I have about 75 pounds to lose. Last year I tried Sema and Tirz and was doing ok on them and then had a lot of family stress and was stalled for months so I stopped. My insurance wouldn’t approve me because I needed 6 months of weight watchers first so I went to an online site for the products. It was expensive and when I stalled for a few months I just couldn’t see paying that. I also was not aware of so many other peptides out there so I have gone down that giant rabbit hole! I realize they could help with so many things like my inflammation, fatigue, memory issues, achey joints, torn meniscus and on and on! lol I’m really showing my age🤣 I love learning new stuff and also want to possibly help my mom with her early Alzheimer’s and my sisters long covid.
I have a small farm with quite a few rescue animals and so I am constantly treating different issues and making up different meds so I am somewhat familiar with that aspect. I also like the science of it all but with my brain fog I have a hard time retaining stuff so I keep a note book handy! I also make soap, lotion bars, lip balms from products on my farm. I have a precocious goat who contributes milk for the soap. I enjoy making the stuff also because of the science part.
On another forum I asked a question regarding some of the new peptides I was learning about and my health stuff. It was so helpful because they recommended hormone replacement therapy connection for brain fog so next week I am hoping to get Dr appointment for that. My regular Dr has never mention or suggested anything but it makes sense to look into. So I can’t wait to see what stuff I learn here. I am really trying to put myself first for once and do more self care for myself as I tend to put others before me and I really want to feel better so trying to remember no is a complete sentence! So down the peptide rabbit hole I go! I love learning and sharing info and realize everyone is on a different journey and one thing might work for one person and not another. I think it’s important to keep an open mind…Sorry this is long Zippity’s post said new comers need to tell about yourself and be real....
oh and I have a duck named Zippety Doo Dah!

Hi and welcome !!
I hope your appointment goes well! HRT may be a great option for you!
I'm over 50 as well. Tirz helped me drop 55 last year and now I'm using p3ps for increased energy and better sleep. Loss of hormones are the thief of joy 😆😅! Thankfully there are options that won't break your bank.

Don’t let the HRT false narrative (the persistent lie that it causes cancer - a conclusion in one often quoted study based on bad science) scare you off. The implanted pellets are an interesting alternative to pills - my wife has the estradiol and testosterone formula, plus sildanifil/ oxytocin compounded oral med. This changed our world!

I want to personally say thank your for sharing your amazing story. I understand about stress. Its can totally derail a weight loss journey. I hate the fact that insurance companies make you go thru so many unnecessary steps. I believe that peptide therapy is one the greatest technological advancements of our time. It can help so many people heal themselves, properly. So why hold back something so integral to the benefit of society? Its Inhumane. We don't have to go the way of the ones before us. I am so grateful for groups like this and people like you. I ❤️ the fact that you have a duck named Zippety Doo Dah 😆
