Hey everyone, I’m Ryan, a 41-year-old guy from Springfield, Mo, and I just started my journey with Retatrutide about three weeks ago. I’ve been struggling with weight for most of my adult life, hovering around 260 lbs despite trying every diet under the sun. My doc recommended Retatrutide to help manage my weight and improve my overall health, especially since I’ve got a family history of diabetes. So far, I’m down 8 lbs, and the biggest surprise is how much my appetite has dialed down—I’m not constantly thinking about food anymore, which feels like a minor miracle!

The side effects have been manageable but real. I had some nausea and a bit of fatigue the first week, but it’s gotten better since. I’m sticking to smaller, protein-heavy meals to keep things steady. I’m also trying to walk 10,000 steps a day, which is easier now that I’m not fighting cravings all the time. I’m curious to hear from others on Retatrutide—how’s it going for you? Any tips for dealing with the initial side effects or maximizing results? Excited to be part of this group and looking forward to sharing the journey!

Congrats on all your progress! Sounds like you're doing everything right!

Curious though about your doctor recommending a non FDA approved medication that can't be prescribed (?)

Doctors are people too. There are doctors out there that feel the same as we do. That the pharma companies are raking people over the coals and that obesity is a bigger issue than their profits. Once you cross that line, switching to a substance that hasn't completed FDA testing isn't that big of a deal.

Agree, seems odd, but kudos to the doc. Did he/she tell you how to obtain the retatrutide as well?

For most of us it wasn't even possible to get our in the flesh doctor to prescribe compound as in write a script for a Glp-1 to a compounder. This is one of the reasons why telehealth has exploded.

If a doctor empathizes with the patient as you say they would have prescribed Sema or Tirz and not risked their license sending someone to a drug dealer.

No point in arguing about it since the OP hasn't chimed in.
