Hey everyone!
I’m Andrei, 37, from Salt Lake City. Been in tech most of my life and let’s just say the combo of desk work and bad habits caught up to me.

I started semaglutide 6 weeks ago (0.25mg from a local clinic). Down 8 lbs so far. Biggest change has been less food craving and better focus. Energy’s slowly coming back too.

I joined this forum to learn more and swap notes. Glad to be here.

Haha, thanks! I didn’t expect the food savings to add up so fast, but you’re totally right. Might finally upgrade from my “pre-weight-loss” jeans stash soon 😅 Appreciate the welcome!

take your time on the upgrade.
When I started my goal weight was 185, i did not think less was possible for my frame.
I weighed in at 160 this morning.
I was hoping for 34 waist, just bought a pair of 30-
If you combine the miracle of these drugs with a plan and discipline, the drugs make everything easier!
For me there was a curve on energy, but it is coming back now in force.
Keep reading, keep driving that pea down the sidewalk, you will get to where you want to be.

That's awesome! from 185 down to 160 is no joke, also dropping to a 30 waist, wow! I’m just getting started, but I’ll definitely keep what you said in mind. Thanks!

I would have been absolutely stoked to be at 185 a few years ago, it just keeps working.
I started at 226. been hovering 160-163 last 11 weeks. I thought i was big boned like my friend in my avatar.
Don't buy the new clothes too soon 🙂

Oh wow! That's impressive! Would definitely hold off in buying new clothes, seems like the scale's not done moving yet. 😉
heh..
Seems like my every clarification is missing necessary details..

Let me try this way.
I had no idea I would get down to 160 and thankfully did not buy new clothes at 185.
I am now at goal and have been gradually increasing calories during maintenance.
I am up from 1200 calories a day to 2000, while staying within a few pounds, up or down, on the scale daily.
I understand to add lean weight to the scale I need to add calories but wanted to balance calories prior to doing that so i did not go from 1200 to 2600 in a day.
If it takes -500 to lose 1lb per week it takes +500 to gain weight.

So when i hit goal about 3 months ago my first plan was to maintain for a period of time while getting back to maintenance calories for my height and weight=2100 per day. I have also incorporated foods that were restricted from my diet and stopped intermittent fasting.

My next step is to gain about 10lbs of lean while maintaining waist size of 30" and will need to be about 2600 cal a day to do it.

TLDR
This medicine will help you do things you did not even consider with just a little effort on your side, it is training wheels for a good diet and turbo charge for personal improvement. You will achieve more than you may have thought possible, much easier.
