NYT: Why So Many Guys Are Obsessed With Testosterone

Probably because theres a massive issue with generational low test levels. Which isnt improving. Its getting WORSE. That puts people down the rabbit hole.
if the guys in the 1940s were running around with double the numbers we have at half their ages. Theres a red alarm.
Jack llane was into his 90s doing one thumb pushups in better shape than 99 percent of guys in their prime today. Of course he was blasting for decades. Might have a connection.
I think theres a direct domino effect with the obesity epidemic in men and test levels early on. Then you see trt before and afters. I think modern medicine/society wants a fat, docile, weak, bitchy, subservient male class to domesticate. Which also shows in our historic low military aged men fit for service.
If youre too busy watching the office crying over your soy latte being cold from 50 dollar door dash order. How can you look up and see whats actually going on? How can you get angry and want change when youre comfortably numb? How can you affect change or lead a family with the energy or strength of an anemic Victorian child? The meek shall inherit the world. Because all the strong died and sired no children.
It's not that deep. People eat processed, engineered food designed to create profit. They gain weight, which in return causes a drop in testosterone. There is not a man behind the curtain, it's just the collateral damage of profit motives.

They don't care about you other than what you will spend on their products.

Why So Many Guys Are Obsessed With Testosterone

March/May 2026

...Adding to the confusion is the fact that common issues like obesity, diabetes, stress and poor sleep can themselves cause testosterone levels to go down, creating a self-perpetuating cycle. Many doctors urge men to try changing their diet and exercise first to see if that raises their T levels naturally before deciding whether to start on T.R.T. “T does not decline significantly with age alone,” said Dr. Mohit Khera, a urologist at Baylor College of Medicine. “A chunk of it is that we’re becoming a sicker population.”

...The fact that the online clinics prescribe testosterone so indiscriminately means that, for those men, the only benefit will most likely be an increase in muscle mass. For many, of course, that’s more than enough. But the marketing often goes much further, telling men that testosterone could fix their minds and bodies. “Online, everyone is saying testosterone is the solution to all of your problems,” Dubin says. “And we have to be very clear that it’s not.”

Who are you trying to talk out of TRT yourself or the rest of us? If I felt like wasting my time I could find 10 Doctors articles stating TRT is the best thing since sliced bread... I can tell you from my own experience that the first thing test did for me was fix my mind it gave me a better attitude and overall feeling of well-being. Then after 5-6 weeks the physical effects started.

Having seen so many of his posts, I kinda take them all as "Harm Reduction"

There is no doubt this is not 1 size fits all, and especially for those curious about DIY there are dangers.

I also do TRT and have found it beneficial, its just that, so is knowledge.
