Week 1
Started low to assess sides: .5 mg Sun/thur (1 mg total)
-nothing much at all except somewhat blunting food noise.
-low dose, didn't expect much, but I see other people who have responded to low dose reta like it was magic.
-maybe a half pound loss this week.
Week 2:
1 mg Sun/thur
-more blunting of food noise, not cessation
-small amount of appetite suppression
-still, a low dose, saw maybe a lb come off
Week 3:
Still 1 mg/1 mg
-food noise significantly decrease, very low desire to snack
-more subtle lack of appetite...there were 2 meals I didn't finish.
-3 lbs came off this week, but I was really able to move into a more aggressive calorie deficit
-I noticed sugar craving fell off to zero. also no interest in alcohol at all
-no other side effects except defecating at unusual times for me.
Week 4: just started 2mg on Sunday, unsure if I will go 1 mg or 2 mg on Thursday
-this must have been the threshold dose, because I'm just not interested in snacking and appetite is really down.
-I often skip breakfast, but usually have a protein shake of some kind. This morning I had to make myself drink the shake.
Constants:
Current diet is high protein (220-250 grams daily). Fruit, vegetables, some carb sources. Often skip breakfast. Week 1 calorie counts were around 2400, week 2, 2100, week was closer to 1800 without conscious effort.
3-4 high volume resistance training sessions a week. 2 long cardio sessions, a 35 minute walk with dogs everyday.
