Did your pens come in yet? How do you like the Savvios?

Yes, the Savvios came and I really like them. I think that the build quality is super nice. The only thing I don't like is that the cartridge holder is on a spring mechanism rather than being screwed on like the V2. I think that the screw design makes more sense. I've disengaged the cartridge holder from the pen several times when taking off a used needle. But I knew this going in and people suggest a behavior modification to prevent the issue. Kinda like when Apple tells us we're all holding our phones the wrong way 🤣 .

I paid $30 each for those Savvios plus shipping and not sure that the incremental build quality is that much better than a V2. I like the V2. But on the other hand, some people like brandname stuff, and I've been contemplating ordering a couple more just to have them. I don't even need more pens, but...

Thank you I was hearing about Luxuras but hard to find now so I'm thinking about a Savvio since Ive also read good things about those. I need another pen, ha ha.

It's a really nice pen and very reliable. I tested the crap out of the Savvio and it always provided reliable doses. I must like the Savvio better than the V2, because I reconstituted some Reta over the weekend and put it in the Savvio rather than the V2. This is both the V2 and the Savvio in a Gansulin case. The Gansulin is cool, but I'm not sure about the auto-injector. I'm a more hands-on type of guy...

Thank you for showing the pic too. It really does look like a nice pen!! 🙂

I finally tested my 3 generic V2 pens (all bought from different sources, including Amazon) and I was really pleased they all dosed accurately. I will say one of them is a little janky when it comes to the delivery - has a little stutter as it depresses, not as smooth as the others - but since I know which one it is, I just adjust the pressure applied accordingly.

Run a half dozen cartridges of water thru it and it will likely smooth out.

I've noticed that the V2 pen can get a little herky-jerky if the cartridge has the rubber bung in BACKWARDS. Check your carts - some have bung's the thicker end towards the outside instead of facing the liquid.

Interesting! I do have carts from 2 different vendors so maybe it's just the ones I've been using. I'll need to have a closer look at both and see if that's the reason.

I must say convipen vs gensupen v2 are much better at the end of the vials . They do insert faster. You have to help the gensu at the end( 30u-50u left in the vial )
Gensupens v2 are with plastic screw and silent, you can also control if you want the speed of insertion.

Update it seems at the end of the vials for tesamorelin convipen also struggle, i don’t see a way to help it like on the gensupen2
My workaround use a Nove pen 4 with adapter with the latest dose .
On gensupen2 you can twist the end and it will trigger
I used g29x1.2mm needle size maybe will go down a notch
Tesamorelin was reconstituted 8 days ago 2x10mg in 3ml vial with 1.6ml Bac each
