The first thing I'll say is that I'm still new to the peptide arena but I've learned a lot and feel like I have a good understanding of the things I'm doing. I have an opinion on what I'm about to write but I'd like to know if I'm wrong.

I recently received a replacement kit for a peptide that I had previously purchased. I was hoping for the same batch because it was/is very effective. When I received the new order, both the crimp and cap were different colors. I'm under the impression that signifies a different batch. Am I correct in this assumption?

I wrote to the company and asked them for the current COA (they advertise that every batch is tested). Their lot number is the same as the previous order and the qr code brings you to the COA with the original crimp and cap color.

I will attach what I wrote and their response. Is their response correct or are they saving money and not testing every batch?

Unless you test it yourself, you can never be sure.
I realize that there's many ways for companies to circumvent some of these issues if they really want to.

I was just wondering if what they said is a normal practice.

Their COA isn't worth anything. Why do you care what color it is? Don't you care about what is in the vial? Your definition of a batch is not the same as theirs.

I was under the impression that a company gets a big order (all the same crimp and cap color from china) and that is the batch that they have sent off and tested.

Then when they restock they get new crimps and caps that are sent out to test again.

When orders are sent from China, are there different crimps and caps within the same order?

I agree with this. Same batch should mean same caps/crimps. That doesn't mean the T30 Orange top is the same T30 Orange top as you bought 2 months ago... (referring to Jeep's endotoxin fiasco).
And it doesn't guarantee the COA from the vendor either. But it does make me feel warmer and fuzzier🙂

But I would feel absolutely unsure about what I was sold if the caps/crimps did not match the COA.

What would I do?
#1 Not buy from this vendor again
# Send the product for testing
# Look for other testing matching the kits Pep, quantity, caps and crimps and compare

You need to start thinking like a drug dealer. If someone has enough raw materials to do 10000 kits of T30 but only enough red caps for 7000 kits of T30 do you think someone is going to say WAIT STOP THE PRODUCTION LINE! BIG EMERGENCY! WE ARE OUT OF RED CAPS I REPEAT WE ARE OUT OF RED CAPS!!!! And then send that exact same product but with non red caps to Jano? All of that costs time and money. What even is a batch? If someone orders 50kg of raw materials and turns it into a billion vials of differing doses are they all from the same batch because they came from the same raw material? Is it all product made on a single day or week? Are batches determined by when they were batched together to go through a specific step in production? Very few people would be privy to that information, certainly not you, I, or the joker taking your order at the drive through.

Okay, I'm picking up what your laying down.
But let's say, still talking drug dealer thinking, that you are a vendor. And you are in the market to restock your T30s. Wouldn't it make the most sense to get all one cap color from the same "batch" to send for testing? That way @Black Mamba doesn't start questioning you?

As a middleman you can only resell what you can get your hands on. Do you want to stand on your principles and refuse to buy perfectly good product because it is the wrong color? Or are you actually trying to make some money? I wanna make some money so I'm gonna tell the dude working the drive through to say whatever it takes to get these delusional customers who are caught up on their favorite color of the rainbow to give us money.

I may not be completely understanding of how it all works. My order is from an online company, not a vendor.

I figured when a company gets their supply from China that they order 3000 vials of this, 5000 vials of that, and whatever else they're ordering. I didn't figure they get the raw materials and bottle it all themselves (which economically makes the most sense). In this case it makes complete sense that they could run out of a cap color.

Now for an impossible question to answer, how long can a company run on the same batch code if they're being honest?

If they're being honest? Until they run out. It depends on how much they had and how fast it sells.
Then, when they re-stock, they should get a new COA
