Stats:

32M – 174 cm – 95 kg – BMI: 31

Bought two 5 mg vials from a Dutch website. I'm seriously overpaying, but at least I don't have to worry about customs seizing the package.

First dose: 0.5 mg of Retatrutide, injected on Sunday at 9 PM.

I went to bed about two hours later and didn't sleep at all that night. The next day, I skipped breakfast (which is normal for me). For lunch, I ordered something that I would normally finish in a couple of minutes, but I couldn't finish the entire plate. The same thing happened at dinner. My appetite was a little reduced.

The second night, I slept a little better, but still not as well as I should have.

However, by then my hunger had returned to normal. The cravings never really left.

Today, I slept better with some assistance, although I still could have used a few more hours of sleep. Hunger remains about the same, and the cravings are still haunting me.

I'm currently contemplating increasing the dose to 1 mg this coming Sunday.

I did not EVER feel appetite reduction with RETA for months. I added Cagri, and that totally helped with hunger suppression. Now, five months in, I feel it just with RETA and a 4mg dose. It took me weeks to titrate up, 0.25mg at a time.

What dose did you start of with? And are you still on Cagri?

If the cravings haven't gone away, I'd even go up to 1.5 mg. I started with 0.7 mg, but I ramped up pretty quickly—I'm now at 3.5 mg a week—and I sleep like a baby. I think it's just because I get up early, go to the gym, and do a lot of cardio.

Food noise never went away from me from .5 to 2mg. I do get full faster and longer and honestly i like it better this way. Ive heard of people who dont get hungry and they end up not getting enough protein.

Me i get hungry, i eat my protein then im good and I just do this repeatedly. I dont need junk snacks or sugary drinks etc.

On my 3rd week at 1mg. Food noise definitely went away by week 2. Had no crazy side effects week 1 but on week 2 I had a crazy headache and was extremely tired 2/3 days after my pin on Sunday but after lots of water and electrolytes it went away. Planning on upping to 1.5 on my 5th week.

I get up at 6:30 to go to work. I know i should work out more but i feel like it will be easier to get back into once i've lost a few kg. The weight i gained took away all motivation and energy. I hope to regain this with Reta.

I still crave sweet and salty snacks. I could easily eat a whole bag of chips and still be hungry for more. I'll increase to 1 mg with my next injection and see if it makes a difference.

Something else that might help is having a meal plan. I try to eat 2,200–2,500 calories every day and make sure I get enough protein.

I've tried multiple meal plans and diets, i can never stick to them. Hence why i started Reta.
2200 would be around maintenance for me. A Decent deficit would be 1800. But i'll give it another shot for sure. I'm forcing myself to drink a shitload of water before meals so i eat less already.

I started 95kg at 182cm so not too far off you.

I started on 0.25kg just to make sure I didn’t get any bad sides plus my first ever injection!

Then a few days later did another 0.25 to take first week to 0.5 pinning Sun/Weds.

Then the Sunday I did 0.5 and did that for a week, then week after I did Sun/Weds 0.5. Then I moved to 1mg on the Sunday which I’m currently at.

My early sides were skin irritation (think pre workout vibes) and my eyesight was a touch blurry. Quickly learnt that need to ensure you are hitting electrolytes/salts as it seemed to be more around dehydration.

Appetite suppression is hit or miss, I really stopped craving sweets, chocolate, beer etc but the feeling of being hungry was still around. I enjoy eating/drinking so I’m happy that it’s not completely gone. My ability to eat a lot in one sitting has completely gone though.

I have found easiest is meal prep, so on a Sunday I’ll buy in my fruit, nuts, chicken dinners etc and portion it all up then it’s just a case of each day sticking what I need in microwave and takes the thinking element of what to eat out of it.

I train pretty hard 4/5 days so I do struggle more with hunger when I’m hitting the bigger gym sessions.

Hope it helps, FYI I’m currently 87kg after 6 weeks or so.

Good luck
