due to the nature of my side job, I am quite social.
a couple of nights ago I was speaking with some biotech/pharmecutical scientists (or so they say) and ALLEGEDLY they are rapidly researching and developing GLP related pills as the patent on injections comes to an end.
From what I can remember, these aren't just the ones used for diabetics and coming off of ozempic - but double strength and compound vehicle as to survive the gut?
It was small talk, but very exciting if true! 🌸 🎊

When I saw the title of your post, I was thinking that your pills were leaking 😂.

There are already a couple of glp-1s in pill format (wegovy and orforglipron) and a few in development. The most exciting to me are the ones that combine glp-1s with amylin agonists, but those are very early in the pipeline.

With NN and EL with such strong positions in this market, I’m surprised that other firms are investing so much money. I read a recent article that Pfizer wants to dominate the obesity medication market…. I’m thinking that they don’t even have a drug in the market.

ah yes! I meant to mention that we were talking about monjuaro and reta was also mentioned but thats way later on :]
they said that they believed that theyd keep making new methods of consumption as to make money as nasal had been talked about in the workspace, but one thing at a time obviously!
I am also from the UK, so the GLP-1 pills are only available to diabetics..
