Pre-Workout - Which one do you use?

Jack3d got me jacked back in the day. Every pre-workout after that has felt like a cheap decaf insta coffee.
We used to use Jack3d for partying back in the day lol

Now I use optimum nutrition amino energy for the caffeine and add my daily creatine. That way I avoid the jittery feeling and the tingles.

I used to use this stuff - it was great! However it got banned due to the fact it contained DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine) - which is a potent synthetic stimulant similar to amphetamine and ephedrine.

That's the reason nothing else ever felt quite as good lol.

I feel like pre-workouts are a waste of money, and in reality, all you really need is just caffeine, so why even buy an entire tub of something you have to scoop daily? What I do is I just swallow one tablet that has 200 mg of caffeine in it, and that's all you need. And I've been doing this for years now, and every single day, it hits me like a truck, and I have not seemed to gain any tolerance to it. And it also saves so much time and money rather than brewing coffee or making pre-workout before the gym.
Do you recommend a specific brand?

Oh boy I have had A LOT of of pre workout and I recommend 2 for the most part.

CBum super Thavage
Ryse Godzilla

Now I will say that if you don’t have a HIGH tolerance to caffeine DO NOT take the CBum one. I’m an avid Sam Sulek enjoyer and he was like yea I only half scoop this I was like pssshhh bs it can’t be that bad. Went out and bought some, scooped a full scoop and went to the gym IMMEDIATELY I could feel my bowels evacuating my body. Idk what’s actually in that stuff but good god that crash is insane I feel like someone has beat in my head with a brick after I come down off it and I have to lay down on a cold surface to feel better. Idk pumps are good tho

I’d say Ryse Godzilla is my go to generally unless I’m upset at the world then it’s Cbum goblin mode time.

I drink my normal amount of cofee, 3 or 4 cups. Also L citruline, creatine, and a 200 mcg pin of kisspeptin. I try to do the pin at least 3 hours before lifting.

I’ve been training since February and have used pre-workout on some days when I feel not as energetic.

What pre-workouts do you guys use? Do you like pre-workout do you not like it?

I just finished mine and was curious and what everyone else uses.

I consider myself a pre workout connoisseur if you like, most don’t have a great effect on me but I come from the days of DS Craze & jack3D (if you don’t know them look them up hehe )

The only one I use daily now and gives me the energy plus pump is called TNT from NXT nutrition. You can see sounds with it.

I like Bucked Up. I also use Lifetime's Pump sometimes. I usually only do half a scoop as I also drink coffee pre-workout. Lately, I have not been using pre-workout as much as I have found NAD+ or MOTS-C about 20 minutes before my workout is great and don't need the pre-workout as much.

I found that pre-workouts make me all jittery and too wired. Instead, I load creatine and beta alanine and after loading phase, take a maintenance amount everyday. Since switching to this, my pre-workout drink is literally a big cup of coffee and a mixer cup full of water. I like to workout in the morning, fasted.
So I'm taking 2250mg Beta over the course of a day for improved cycing (road bike) what did you determine to be saturation and then maintenance for BA ? I also do 3-5grams of creatine daily.

According Mr. Mike Israetel of Renaissance Periodization, 3gs a day of Beta Alanine is good to go. Your creatine is on point.

ok sounds like just need one more 750mg. thanks ! Did I read ur post wrong? Do u reach a saturation point w BA & after x amount of time and then dial it back to maintenance ?

He recommends 2-5 grams. From what I understand it take 4 weeks to saturate the BA, then you dial it down. Perhaps to 2 gs. It really depends on how you feel, I've been good just slamming 3g every day.

I use Pre Jym and have for years. I just wonder if it has enough caffeine for me as I am acclimated to caffeine pretty well.

I also used the original version with dmaa in it...back then we didn't know any better.

Kind of like anti-gravity pills. The more you take, the lighter the objects around you become.

*update
I went ahead and started MOTS-C this week pre-workout. 500mcg 1 hour before gym 1st day to make sure I did not have any allergic reaction. 1mg since, today was my 5th dose. I'm still doing double espresso and honey 30min pre to get the immediate caffeine boost. I can say starting after the 4th dose I could tell a difference.
I lift heavy and normally an hour or 2 after my workout I'll be drained for the day. Since the 4th dose of MOTS-C, I feel I have very sustained energy for the rest of the day. So no MOTS-C is not an immediate pre-workout booster but more an all day booster. Working for me anyways.

Honey, creatine, beta alanine, Citrulline + agmatine or alternatively 5mg Cialis, and however much caffeine you require. Bromantane is always an option.

I'm not big on blends. Not multivitamins, not peptides, not preworkout.

Just a shot of espresso or redbull if I'm out and about. Agree with what the others are saying, preworkouts are just a waste of money.
