I have spent a long time researching on this site and feel I am prepared to administer my first dose tomorrow.

I do have some questions which I could use some guidance on.

I have an auto pen and for some reason, I am struggling to find a dosage calculator to work with the auto pens. Nearly all of the dosing calculators are for the smaller individual syringes.

I also wonder what foods I should avoid as I am just getting started? I have heard fried foods and fatty foods are not good, can anyone expound on some foods I should avoid?

Thanks,

This doesn't make sense to me. Dosing calculators are for the most part reconstitution calculators. You start with a volume of reconstitution fluid (mL) and mass of drug (mg) that leaves you with a concentration mg/mL then you provide the dose you want to calculate injection volume for that dose. You don't need a specific one for pens or syringes.

Are you confused about your pen? Most pens are u-100 (but not all so verify yours)

I believe your pen dial is calibrated in units. Each click of the dial is 1 unit, You want a .25ml dose you dial up 25 and slam it home. There are many reconstitution and dosage calculators available in this forum. This is my favorite cause it's very basic and simple. I need simple....https://calc.injectionshop.com/ Before injecting your rat,,, be sure to have a decent grasp of the common measurements used. IE: ml(milliliter)and mg(milligram) and especially get you brain wrapped around decimal points. 3 basic syringe sizes .3ml (30 units),,, .5ml (50 units) and 1ml (100 units)... Dosing calculators are the same for syringes and/or pens.

Personally, I find insulin syringes more convenient. With pens, you have to be extra careful regarding sterility.

I just got my first pens in the mail yesterday and have been experimenting all day long today. I’m curious about what aspects with pen sterility do you have to be extra careful about? I have some thoughts, but don’t want to assume.

Take your new pens and cycle them thru a bunch. They loosen up and become smother.

I've personally never had a good experience eating cream based foods while on reta, stuff like a pasta alfredo or thai green curry etc

Not sure what they're on about sterility but I find it much easier to filter into a cart since I'm going to be filling it anyway. I'm a big fan of pens since I'm doing BPC and TB4 daily. Takes less than 2 minutes to get them primed and injected.

Which pens did you go with?

Yeah, I didn't get the sterility comment. I actually like that the air can be removed from the cart, whereas with a vial there is a bunch of air. And then as we use vials, we inject more air, over and over again. So, to me, the pen cartridge is actually more sterile, not less. But anyhoo.

I wasn't sure if I would like pens, be able to figure them out, or trust the dosing so I didn't want to invest a lot so I bought two V2s and two disposable pens. It turns out that really like pens, so now looking to buy either the Gansulin or Savvio.

I would also tell you to take an empty pen vial, load it with water, prime it and test fire a couple times into an insulin syringe with the plunger removed to verify that the pen is accurate.

I tried this a couple of times and it looked like the dosing was really off. I was like OMG, I can't use or trust these pens... I was injecting into the empty end of a insulin syringe. Then I found this on Underground Supply's TG channel and I tested it a bunch of times and perfect dosing. Confidence restored 😂. Much better to keep the plunger inside.

I’ve been using a set of ConviPens which are basically like Gansulins and truuuuust me, after your first one, you’ll definitely want a few more. 🤣 The Savviopens look nice but I'm not sure how to justify getting one at this point haha. Curious how you like it if you go with one!

Thanks for the heads up about ConviPens. I'll definitely look into those too. I'm not tied to the Savvio.

IMO regarding foods- your body is going to very quickly tell you what to stay away from. As much as I may have craved fatty or fried foods pre GLP-1’s, I can only get in a few bites now before my body says “I’m done”- this only leads to less and less cravings for it, which is great.

There's a thing, it's trendy to use these auto pens. It's fun, and you can get all kinds of brands. But I've always used the basic syringes

I have a Convipen and don’t have anything to compare to but my first hit was painless and simple

Can one pen be used by swapping different cartridges for doses of different peptides?

I have had no food issues on Tirz. One observation, I need to eat less at dinner or my sleep quality goes down. I think its the slower emptying of the stomach means my body is working harder overnight.
