Hi, everyone! I bought a peptide, and it will be delivered to my mom’s house, where I’ll be staying during a trip. My question is about the best way to store and transport it, since I’ll be returning to my city after a month.

1. When it arrives at my mom’s house, should I put it in the freezer right away?

2. During the trip back, I won’t be able to keep it in the freezer. Could that cause a loss in potency or quality?

3. Or would it be better to leave it out of the freezer until it’s in the final location where it will be stored?

Has anyone gone through this and knows the best way to handle it?
Thanks a lot for any advice!

Its absolutely fine to keep the lyophilized peptide in a cool dark place for that long. Personally I'd put it in the fridge while at your moms and then put it in the freezer when you get home. Not a hard rule but from all the things we've tested that feels the most logical to me.

Assuming your trip is less than a few days, a cool dry place would be adequate for storage in the vial. Once reconstituted and used (a syringe has broken the seal of the vial) bacterial growth becomes a concern but if you're using the vial quickly and not being egregious its generally going to be safe. Some people will invest in an insulated food container and put peptides in that, and then store the whole thing in their freezer but my understanding is this is not strictly necessary. There are a few travel type cases to keep the vials safe and/or to keep them a little bit cool.
