Question for the US: how are you all so calm about long-term freezing?

I think people might have misread my post, or misread the intentions of my post. Most people have replied to is justifying why they take peptides and their reason for that - I'm not questioning that whatsoever, at all, I'm taking them myself. I was curious why people buy years and years worth when they have been so easily accessible for such a long time and seem continue to be so, or is that not the case?.

Because the future is unclear. One of the big concerns that crosses my mind is Eli Lilly who developed Retatrutide. They're getting close to final FDA approval and no one (me) is sure what they might do to corner the market. They're a very large company and I'm sure could influence people in political power to somehow clamp down. Also, seeing some signs lately of customs crackdowns, mainly China right now also throws some concerns. Even one of the main guys I was getting stuff from has had big orders seized in China. I think there was recently here in the US. MY wife and I want to stay on this stuff even after our goals are meet. This is all just MY OPINION, so take it for what it's worth. I know quite a few members here that feel the same. My .02.

I’m not sure that they will always be available in the future the way they are now.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has spoken out against the Grey market repeatedly. There’s a drive to reclassify 14 currently restricted peptides.

Some vendors are gone, and we are in a period of regulatory crackdowns involving customs enforcement and the FDA.

Like others have said - we don't know the future, but we do know we want (actually need) these GLPx peptides because they fixed something that was inherently and evolutionary wrong with us. We have food noise and constant hunger when we don't need to in the here and now. Our bodies won't suddenly fix it themselves, so these drugs - or others like them down the line - are non negotiable for our health and happiness.

That said, if we have the funds and resources now to get them at reasonable prices, what would stop us from doing so? There may be better drugs in the future, or these drugs could end up being OTC right next to heartburn medicine. But since we don't know, why take the chance?

Ah, food noise. I'm so acquainted with that bad boy. Well, 'Atomic Habits' may have a solution there. Building and stacking little changes over time while the peptides are on, and using brain chemistry with habit formation mechanics, to do the work. After all, none of us were born with the food noise programming. If hormones and chemicals can work one way, shouldn't they work the other way around as well? It's the principle driving evolution, right? Oh, and while it sounds theoretically indisputable, I wholeheartedly admit I wouldn't be saying that if there weren't appetite-suppressing fat burners out there. The Ephedra-caffeine-Tesofensine-Nootropics- bonanza offers so many options.
That makes sense, building habits over time is definitely the right approach.
I’ll work on that… as long as that bad boy of my food noise cooperates lol

I’m not going to sweat the brief power outages that occur more frequently. As long as the food in my freezer is still frozen, I’m sure the peptides are as well. A full freezer with good seals can maintain below freezing temps for a couple days. Half full only stays frozen for a day. It’s long-term outages that are more of a concern. Typically, that’s either a really bad winter storm or a hurricane. For a winter storm, my backup plan is outdoor storage. For a hurricane, ice or generator. Blocks of use last longer than cubes.

For any other catastrophic disasters, I’m thinking I have a much bigger issue than losing my 7 year stash.
That sounds like a solid plan.
And yes… if it gets to that point, I probably have bigger problems than my stash

If you have a little freezer and pack it with frozen water jugs. You should be ok for a few days. I live in the country and have a large deep freezer that was still below freezing after losing power for 2 days.
That’s reassuring, the frozen water jugs part is definitely doable for me, thanks!

Why do people hoard several years worth of peptides? Especially one mainly focused on weight loss? Are people needing to be on them for multiple years at a time to hit the goals? Or is this a preppers thing where they think the aliens might be coming, and when they do, they'll pile the weight on, and will have no way to order from China as the aliens will be doing their own customs checks?
Probably a mix of both… with a slight tendency toward the alien scenario 🤷‍♀️

Guess I won’t be worrying anytime soon then 🙄

The only viable reasons I can come up with for people hoarding years of peptides is due to uncertainty, laziness, or economic disability…. With the smallest amount of commitment to the game, they should be siting on decades of supply.
That’s a pretty narrow take 😄 people’s reasons aren’t always that simple!

We have found the solution, we have the disposable income, and we are supremely optimistic.

Definitely all of the above. We have found the solution, we have the disposable income, and we are supremely optimistic. Even if this stuff ends up turning into sawdust in 5-10 years we'll just order 5 years worth of GLP4 or whatever the new next best thing is.
That does sound like a pretty powerful combination 😄

For hoarding, or not hoarding? I have a bunch, and I've enjoyed buying it. I for one have a hard time passing up great prices. Just did 2 GB for 5 kits of Reta, as you know it'll likely be 8 weeks or so till I see the stuff with GBs.

The setup is a really good suggestion and something I could definitely adopt.
The generator isn’t really an option for me, I live in an apartment building in the city and it wouldn’t be allowed.
Solar power cell bank. A backup power supply for when you need it. Like Jackery or another cheaper brand if needed. If you're super paranoid, get some panels you could set up as well to recharge the charger.

That actually sounds like a good apartment-friendly option, a helpful backup!

Thinking of stocking up for a few years myself. Primary concern would be RT getting significantly cheaper once FDA approved (with no meaningful halt on grey importation as speculated by some here) and secondary concern there being a new peptide in a year that’s twice as good as what we have now with even less side effects.

🛑 UPDATE: YOU CONVINCED ME - LESS PANIC, MORE STASH

I have to say, I really appreciated all the suggestions and perspectives here, this turned out way more helpful (and entertaining) than I expected.

So, once shipping resumes, I’ve decided I will build a bit of a stash (sorry to those who disagree… and to the aliens 👽).

And no, thankfully this isn’t about budget (and I truly hope it stays that way, given the times)… though I can’t promise there isn’t a bit of laziness or insecurity in the mix.

The reality for me is that here in Italy I no longer have access to mounjaro, since I don’t have diabetes and I’m no longer classified as obese.
So yes… I’ve reached the stage where I genuinely bless the grey… and to be honest, not giving Lily my money anymore isn’t the heartbreaking loss one might imagine. I’m sleeping beautifully.

That said, I’m not planning for years and years, I’d much rather hope that research moves faster than the ThrustSSC and that in a few years we’ll have even better molecules available.

I genuinely hope that for everyone who needs this, and for those who will in the future, things keep improving, so life can be a little easier, at least on this front.

Thanks again to all of you, you are great and beautiful 🫶

That’s kind of what I was thinking too

Did you miss the punchline also?😂

I’m 40 next month, Ai suggests with my blood work, Dexa scans, bp monitoring, etc, I’m on track to make it to 85-92.

I need to buy another decade to be covered to the high side estimate at max trial dosing 😂.

I may have some consumption variables coming that will better rationalize my supply.

I think you missed the punchline, although I’ve been wrong before.
Oh no, I don’t think so, I actually liked your comment and even referenced it in my update.
It’s much more likely that my reply didn’t come across very well in English 🫢

That’s some serious long-term planning but I’d probably factor in a potential upgrade to 100 just to be safe, applying the same margin from 85→92 to 92→100 feels only reasonable and properly cautious 😅
