Restricted vendor

Hi all,

I’ve recently noticed my usually vendor has had there banner changed to restricted vendor but can’t find anything on what that means or why this particular vendor has had this change.

Could anyone please give me some info on what it means?

It means what it says. They are restricted from posting or conducting any business via the forum.

Depending on the vendor it could be something as simple as them failing to renew their sponsorship, or it could also be because they have violated forum rules or have failed to respond to/remedy issues with multiple customers.

I'd probable play it safe and use a different vendor unless that gets remedied. Even if it is for failing to renew their sponsorship, once that tie to the community no longer exists you are taking a chance that the leverage of a good reputation within the community is gone, thus one of the few guardrails that exist is gone.
