Wanted to chronicle my use of retatrutide; not so much for weight loss - I'm 6' 3" 197lb (though I do want to lose ~15lb) - but, more for the metabolic healing and rejuvenation potential of these peptides - especially after reading William Seeds' new book "The Quantum Power of GLP-1 Peptides" which lays out a very compelling use case for these wonderful compounds.

I certainly exhibit symptoms of insulin resistance and general metabolic downregulation and am very curious to see if these peptides can reverse these conditions at a somewhat early stage.

I'm starting off taking .5mg every 4 days. I took my 3rd shot yesterday. It suddenly started 'working' today: very little appetite, no interest in food. Had to somewhat force myself to take on some calories. The reward mechanism in my brain is also shifting, food is not as pleasurable to eat, it's more the 'eat to live' and not 'live to eat' mindset. No interest in alcohol or cannabis the last several days as well.

Awesome to see more folks embracing GLP’s for health benefits beyond weight loss. The reward mechanism shift has been great. I went from “I’m not really into sweets or fast food” to feeling a wave of nausea if I imagine eating junk food, especially rich foods like chocolate or pastries.

Not to get graphic but it can also affect the desire for intimacy. Everything still works as usual but there’s no drive, like you could just go without and not be bothered. I haven’t heard anybody else mention this but I googled it and apparently it’s a reported side effect.

Curious why you want to lose weight. My husband is the same height and 195, very lean with defined abs and no excess fat anywhere. It seems like a good weight but I’m guessing it’s about body composition?

Hey - thanks for feedback interesting anecdotes!

I doubt I have nearly as much muscle as your husband if he's ripped at 6' 3" and 195. I'm an avid tennis player and weight (fat)=bad movement so for me it's about getting into playing shape which is ideally low 180s for me. I've gotten a little chubby and it's affecting my game.
