Hi all,

I have now been on Reta for about 2 weeks and i noticed some muscle spasms the last 2-3 days. Did some research and apparantly more people experience this due to dehydration. Now i looked back at the last 2 weeks and i do feel like i have been a bit more dehydrated. Muscle spasms stopped after taking in some electrolytes. That said, i am quite sure i am drinking loads of water/tea etc.

Does anyone else notice they are a bit more dehydrated on Reta? Maybe this also kind of explains the quick weight loss when in started even though i was already deep into a cut (water weight).

Maybe a bit of a ramble but just curious for others experience.

GLP1's take not only the food noise but also takes away your feeling of thirst.

Funny you should ask as I was just contemplating this over the weekend. I started reta in early April after taking a 3-month break from GLP's, and I've definitely noticed a trend of feeling somewhat dehydrated every so often even though I don't think I've reduced my liquid intake. Not bad enough to cause headaches or lightheadedness but definitely that "dried out" feeling more frequently than I can ever recall on tirz. I've also developed a weird sweet tooth that I've never really had my entire life.

i have this exact experience. sweet tooth included though i notice that i already got a bit more of a sweet tooth when i got into lower and lower weight classes during my cut so that might also just be the body trying to find calorie dense foods more appealing?

Hope that the water weight will not rebound to hard when i get off these drugs.

Your nutrients are lower as well from not eating. Be sure you are getting enough potassium. A little bit of Tonic Water also helps with this if you can tolerate the taste. It contains Quinine. A fun fact… the quinine makes it glow under a blacklight.

honestly i track my calories/foods quite strictly and have been eating the same as when i was on/off Reta, same foods and same deficit. Personally think it is something related to the Reta itself. Maybe i sweat more? / use more calories etc?

These drugs slow the absorption of nutrients.

Here’s a quick read
