I’m currently working with my doctors to dial in several things at once. I am on TRT experiencing some ongoing iron issues. My biggest challenge is managing hematocrit without having to do more phlebotomies, as they tend to crush my ferritin & leave me feeling pretty rough.

I’ve had some success with the Vrock protocol, but right now I’m focused on optimizing retatrutide & eventually reintroducing HGH.

Currently:
  1. Retatrutide: 3 mg/week (1.5 mg twice weekly) with goal of getting to 6mg a week to see how it helps with recomp (may not be necessary to go that high, time will dictate where I end)
  2. TRT: daily shallow IM injections
  3. Considering a switch to daily SubQ if it may help with hematocrit & then to trial cream if needed.
  4. Planning to restart HGH in two weeks

I’ve read a lot of different opinions on HGH timing (before bed vs. morning fasted with cardio), so I’d love to hear real-world experiences from people running similar protocols.

A few questions:
  • Has anyone reduced hematocrit by switching from daily shallow IM TRT to daily SubQ injections? Did anyone ultimately switch to testosterone cream specifically to help control hematocrit? I’m not opposed to daily injections, so the only reason I’d consider cream would be if it significantly improved hematocrit management.
  • Is anyone here running a TRT + HGH + Retatrutide stack? If so, where did you find your sweet spot for HGH & retatrutide? I’m currently at 3 mg/week of reta, but I suspect I’ll eventually settle into a lower maintenance dose & would be interested in hearing what maintenance doses others have found effective.
  • For those using HGH primarily for healthy aging, skin quality, hair, body composition, recovery, and support of TRT, when have you found dosing works best? Morning fasted? Before bed? Have you noticed meaningful differences in fat loss, recovery, or overall results between the two approaches?

I’d appreciate hearing both the successes & lessons learned from anyone who has been down a similar path.

I subq test every 3rd day and no hematocrit problems ever after that. (80mg each shot) I started giving blood about a year ago because I felt it was the right thing to do, not cause I needed to.

I don't do HGH because I'm not giving up my cookie before bedtime so can't help you there.

i do 100mg test 2x weekly for a total of 200mg IM
i do 2 ui of HGH before bed 1:30 after eating last meal
i do 2 UI of HGH when i wake up fasted for fasted cardio
i do 6Mg Reta Monday morning ( this week is rough, new R40 vial is potent vs the last )
and 50 mg Anavar daily for the last cut
i eat red meat when i can eat

i test my glucose to be sure and always perfect

if i do 4 IU of HGH before bed when i wake up every joint ache ...
but 2 split its perfect for me

I do daily IM trt (200mg per week), 4mg weekly reta, no AI and im pretty lean. The biggest two things that help keep my Hematocrit around 46 to 48 are daily fasted cardio. 25 minutes, 3mph at an incline. And most importantly staying very well hydrated. I drink 150oz of water, half with electrolytes each day. I did a draw one time early in the day and had only drank 16oz of water and my Hematocrit came back at 54. Doc sent me right back a day later well hydrated this time and back under 48.

Can't help on the HGH front, just getting ready to start that myself.

Keep us posted on your HGH protocol. Thank you for the fasted cardio advice. Will definitely give it a try and it will fit possibly taking HGH upon waking in fasted state.
