Hi All,

Background: I’ve been running a low dose of either Sema or Tirz (.25mg and 1.25mg respectively) for the last year with the aim to slightly improve body comp and lower A1C. I lost about 10lbs of fat (currently at 18% BF) and got to 5.0 from 5.5 A1C. I didn’t push the dose because I was worried about muscle loss and other potential negative sides.

I read about Retatrutide and decided to jump in with both feet. I’ve initially just purchased a single vial from a known US source with all the right COAs. I’m hoping to get to and maintain low teens BF%.

I’m only on my second week - I did .5mg MWF the first week and then started once weekly dosing @ 2mg the second and plan on staying there until week five. I’m aware that Retatrutide can take a few weeks to start working, however I have seen ZERO impact to my heart rate. I wear an Oura ring. I immediately saw a sustained 10pt increase on both Sema and Tirz.

I realize Reta might require some patience, but does this potentially mean I bought junk? Wondering if I should procure another single vial and try that for my 3rd weekly dose vs waiting.

Thanks!

2mg is just a dose to get your body used to the compound, you’re unlikely to be see any effects from it. Follow the titration schedule and see where it takes you. Many people don’t have the rhr increase at all so try not to fixate on it. This is a marathon not a sprint.

Appreciate the feedback. The reason I ask is that I saw the immediate RHR increase on the other GLP-1s before “feeling” anything else.

I switched to Reta (induction dose), from 5 months max 15mg Tirz. My RHR on Reta for first week was about 100, which was crazy at first. However, my RHR on Tirz was always high 80s- mid 90s.
Still on reta for maintenance, and my RHR is stable in the mid 70s most days, which is lower than it ever was on Tirz for 1 year.
Just depends.

Here is my RHR data over the past 6 months. I started tirz the 3rd week of April and switched to reta the 2nd week of June. Currently taking 6mg weekly. I haven't physically noticed a difference, but the previous 2 years my RHR has all been <50.
