so i am planning on making a DSIP/SELANK nasal spray to test out. DSIP has worked great for me subQ but wanting to try the spray and combine it with selank. maybe even get some more like gaba later to ad. but my questions are these.

1. if i use bac water to recon then dilute with saline it should cause some nose discomfort right?

2. if i dilute with saline is the alcohol percentage even going to be enough to do anything anyway?

3. if i go with full saline the shelf life is going to be what, 2 week or something? or since its not being injected does it last longer before becoming a concern?

4. is there some way i could split the total dosages so i dont have to use up the whole vial to the super short shelf life? like use just enough bac to recon then only take out however much i want to use nasally and keep the rest in the full bac to preserve it for longer? then see back to question 1.

any info would be great. i couldn't find answers to these types of overthinking questions i have

I just looked up pretty much the same things. Here is what I came away with.
  1. Using bac water to reconstitute nasal spray is not recommended. Use saline instead.
  2. Some people mix in some bac water. In such small amounts though, its efficacy is questionable. And it may still cause nasal irritation.
  3. The recommended shelf life with saline alone is 2–3 weeks (conservatively). It can be 4 weeks with good hygiene. That seems to align with recommended cycle pretty well.
  4. You can reconstitute a very specific proportion of the API and volume of saline, to get your dose, and keep the lifetime to 4 weeks. There are plenty of internasal calculators to help with this.
