Hey yall,

Very happy to have found this forum! My journey, may be similar to some of you out there, but it might not? I started my journey with GLP-1s primarily to curb the alcohol cravings. I was/am overweight, but in the past, if I can stop the drinking, my motivation/eating habits /working out all seems to naturally fall into place.

Started with Tirz from Ely Lilly on 2.5mg and had great results. Alcohol cravings gone (truly amazing!) and could even go out with the wife and have an social drink and not feel like I want to guzzle twenty beers. Went from 215 to 200 within the first month. However, It did not take long to realize moving out of the starter dose was going to be a hefty annual expense.

Discovered Retatrutide and the Wild West of the research peptide domestic companies. I was very unsure which company to trust! Ordered some Reta with a recommendation from a somewhat well known company that had a descent COA report. Stoped Tirz and started Reta at 1mg per week divided .5mg twice per week. I have titrated up to 4mg (2mg twice a week). So far, I have had very little effect from the Reta. No weight loss since stopping Tirz. Alcohol craving and food noise is stronger. I have however, had a lot of the side effects. Crazy thirst, higher heart rate, sensitive skin, and insomnia. The thirst and higher heart rate has subsided.

While titrating up, I really started questioning if I had a bad batch because of all the success stories from others at much lower doses. I have read that others have had a similar experience and when they hit 5 or 6mg it really kicked in.

It really started to get in my head. I ordered from another domestic company that had a COA with an associated lot number for the 10mg vials. I will start that tomorrow to see if it will make a difference. Even after receiving the new batch, I started to question if the lot number is legit? The lot number is a date and was from last year. How much inventory does the company have to last from last year?

I have read enough recently to realize that a majority of these companies just buy from overseas and label it with their logo and charge a hefty margin.

So I have joined a couple overseas vendors WhatsApp and Telegram chat groups. I feel like I’m back at square one with trying to figure out who to trust? I have the price list and COAs, but they don’t seem to have batch/Lot numbers to identify what batch the COAs are from. Just quantity and purity with no testing for endotoxins/LPS.

My goal in joining this forum is to be a part of a testing group that I can have a little more piece of mind to know what I’m buying is what I’m/WE are all getting. I’m more than happy to contribute financially to help the group out.

I have read the rules of the forum and I know I’m brand new. I have a lot to learn, so I will do my best to earn the right to post and hope to contribute as much as I can.

Congrats if you made it this far in my post. Sorry for such a long one!

Welcome! If tirz was working for you, would you consider going back on tirz and just titrating up to the 5 mg? It seems like you had better suppression and you were losing weight and doing great. A lot of people start with tirz and get the most out of it until it no longer works for them. You'll definitely notice that you can purchase affordable kits of tirz/reta now. This is a great forum and I'm almost sure that you'll be able to afford and find what works for you best. I wish you the best of luck!

Welcome! Testing is your best defense, such as it is, with purchasing in this market. Often you'll find testing group links within the vendor channels on Telegram. I'd go back to where you bought and look for a group testing the batch you have. I should add, there are also other groups on Telegram that are set up just for recruiting testing for specific vendors, products and batches.

Yes, I’ve thought about just going back on Tirz. Just have heard so many positive things from Reta that I really wanted to give it a descent effort. I have even toyed with the idea of stacking them as I have heard others doing. Or adding Cargi for more appetite control. I will switch to the new vials I got and give it a couple more weeks and see if that make a difference? Will report back..

Thanks for the reply. The current batch I have is from a domestic supplier, so it was not through Telegram. Just the COA from the domestic supplier which was tested at Janoshik. Good results, with the lot number. Just has an old lot date and COA testing date. Then I start to question how much inventory does the supplier have with that that lot date? Or are they just resupplying with new shipments and slapping that same old label on it? Either way, I am going to try these new vials and see if it makes a difference.
Going forward, I will no longer be purchasing from our lovely domestic suppliers and will be purchasing from the more logical choices. I just want to reduce as much uncertainty as possible with current testing groups that have more current COAs and try to find a vendor that has some sort of batch/lot identification. Hope this makes sense?

GLPs are not complicated. For diabetics it's find the right dose of Mounjaro (Tirz) or Ozempic (Sema) that manages your condition fill your script and go on with your life.

For the obese it's fill your script for Zepbound (Tirz) or Wegovy (Sema) and titrate as directed or less.

Some of us don't have the funds, coverage or the scripts to address the above issues without going gray. We still try to adhere to a dosing plan that mirrors proven studies and side effects management.

Some of us go off the rails. If you read your post as if it was a strangers what advice would you give? I'd get my hands on a kit of Tirz and put the Reta in the freezer as a maintenance or plan B.
