made me so calm after two daily doses that my heart rate decreased by 20bpm and I am FIGHTING my eyelids to stay awake.

I take high doses of medications to flood my brain with dopamine and serotonin to function. My hope was to come off of these medications. I am going to take a wild guess here and presume that the selank is modulating (reducing?) the amount of serotonin thus my prescribed meds are now useless and now, like a zombie, I am dead to the world.
where are my human encyclopedias? educate me.

Selank is enhancing your brain's GABA system (the calming neurotransmitter), which explains your drowsiness and lower heart rate. It's not making your medications useless. It's actually working alongside them, creating a combined effect that's too sedating.

Selank doesn't reduce serotonin. It modulates several neurotransmitter systems including serotonin and dopamine. Since your medications already increase these chemicals, the combination is likely overwhelming your system.

Try reducing your Selank dosage or taking it at different times than your other meds. This might give you the anxiety relief without feeling like a zombie. If you're trying to eventually reduce your medications, work with a healthcare provider to find the right balance.

Thank you for this ☺️
