Should I be concerned about buying from an "inactive vendor"?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to name sources yet so I'll omit that info, but I had placed an order with a vendor (1/20, still hasn't shipped) who has posted on these boards and just noticed their name had a "inactive vendor" flag underneath it — wanted to make sure I didn't stupidly buy from a bad source.

Anyone have any info on what "inactive" means? Wasn't sure if it was related to posting activity or if it's related to their ability to post due to complaints or whatnot.

I assumed if they were listed on these boards, they'd be safe/legit to use. When I initially searched their name, I didn't see any negative user posts about them and didn't notice that flag on their profile until a bit earlier today when I searched for them again.

Holding out hope that I didn't flush money down the drain 😂

It's possible just the one rep here is gone, but they were in the middle of renewing their sponsorship and just went dark which is very unlike them.

Sometimes nothing leaves china for 10 days even 12....waiting for a flight or vendors that have no actual stock and order from warehouse or someone else. Some vendors dost post here anymore but are active on discord, telegram and/or other pep forums.

Hey all, just posting an update that the vendor has been very responsive on Discord, was able to provide an update on the delays: "I asked the freight manager to check the latest news, and it shows that the customs clearance has been completed. Then the package will be shipped to the warehouse, and FedEx will be updated after scanning, and delivery will begin."

And sure enough, checking the original FedEx tracking number they provided shows it's finally in their possession, and moving through the network.

I'll post an update when I receive the order, but didn't want to inadvertently scare folks away from that vendor if they turn out to be legit!

Whew so glad it looks like you will be getting Something for your money! I know that must've been a pretty sinking feeling, even when we know the risks, we all miss stuff from time to time! Hopefully this one works out ok for you!

1. Original photo sent by vendor matches what I received? ✅ Items from original photo matched what I received, exactly.
2. Well packaged, signs of any damage? ✅ No damage to the box, everything arrived intact and in small, discreet package.
3. Customer Service/Responsiveness to Questions: 💯 - the vendor answered my questions both on Discord and Telegram, working extremely fast to provide answers to all of my many questions.

If you're on the fence about placing an order, hopefully the photos attached will help ease your buying decision. The only downside was shipping time, but that is not something the vendor can control due to how crazy it is living in and shipping to the US right now.

Feel free to ask any follow-ups, wasn't sure what to write 😂

There is no packing list or reference to the vendor of any kind (shipping label?)? If I receive my "scammer" shipment, I'm curious how I'll tie it back to someone.
