Hey, I started my Reta journey in January where I was able to use 1mg per week like a charm and lost about 20 kilos (I went up to 1,5mg twice a week in the last weeks of that diet) and now I am in the reverse diet, where I eat a bit more than before so I can start getting muscles again etc.
I noticed that my hunger went up soo much that it bothers me. If I eat something, I am good, but after 1-2 hours I start thinking about the next meal and then I get hungry again and I feel like snacking all the time but I try to do it with tomatoes. The food focus is insane and I always have to think about food, thats why I started with 2mg twice a week one week ago, but it didnt really improve..

Should I try 2,5mg 2x week (Mo. and Thursday) or what would you do? Am I expecting something totally unrealistic? It was soo easy during the cut, I just ate what was on my nutrition plan and I had 0 difficulties with only 1mg per week 🙁

From everything I read and my own experience reta doesn't really quiet the food noise like say tirz, which is a good thing. It means you are actually able to eat, just get full sooner so you don't over eat. I assume if you are trying to build muscle, you are exercising (probably more than when you were dropping weight)? You may just need more calories to balance the extra energy expenditure (and your body is trying to tell you that). Meal prep or at least nutrition planning can help you to not overeat and have healthy snacks.

Also, if you are trying to gain muscle, you WILL gain weight and you do need more calories to build and fuel those muscles. Its much harder to simultaneously lose fat and gain muscle. Just make sure you are eating the right stuff. Common mistake is saying "I'm good on 2000 calories a day" then increasing your exercise and changing your goals from primarily burning fat to gaining muscle but not increasing your calories to match. It's just math.

Mm to be honest I am already gaining muscle and I know that I have to eat more - I am doing really good progress and gaining weight step by step. My power is exploding but still my body is craving food and I have to think about it all the time, I wanted to mute that noise, thats why I thought titrating up would be an option. Like my food noise in my reverse diet is much more present than in my diet where I lost 20kg

I'd check all your numbers to make sure you are eating enough compared to the extra work you are doing. You can try increasing your dose, but as I mentioned, quieting food noise isn't really something reta is generally known for. It could be that you were so focused on losing weight that you actually blocked it out mentally more than the reta itself. I haven't personally used either, but have seen people add Cag or low dose tirz to reta for the food noise benefits those have. That could be an option as well.

Hmm so maybe its really worth switching to Tirz, or combine it just as you said.. Ill have to wait for it to arrive though - maybe Ill titrate until then

My wife was on tirz and lost a significant amount of weight and recently swapped to reta. Said she definitely feels like she wants to eat more (or at least more often) on the reta. Tracking her numbers, weight is staying constant and while she is maybe eating more often, she's not actually eating more total. It can be a pain, but maybe trying to eat like 6 small meals a day vs 3 bigger meals could help as well?

Everyone is different, so do what works for you. I don't really have the food noise issue, but when I start eating I will EAT. The reta has been game changing for that.

It's a known phenomenon that the more weight you loose, the hungrier you get. Your body fighting back.

Stick the plan. Consider cag or tirz to help with food noise

So should I try 2,5mg per inject and see how it goes? Is there a dosage or amount I should stop?

Like it's so funny, I just ate something 10 minutes ago and I already think about eating something again and the urge gets bigger while time goes by D: Thats my problem.. My stomach feels fullish though, thats my current observation

I have heard (In this forum) that when people are splitting their doses, the effects don't come on as strong as with one weekly dose. Can I ask why you are splitting your dose? Maybe try just using 1 weekly dose and see how that goes before titrating up?

Also, I believe the trail doses for Reta are 2mg, 4mg, 6mg, like that. So 1mg wasn't even a "starting" dose. Maybe that is another thing to look at?

Good luck <3

Hmm I think I heard that splitting up the dosage can lessen the side effects and thats why I went with that kind of approach. Would be really great to know what the way to go is now

I did the same thing as you. I started low, and I split dose for minimal side effects in the beginning. I also noticed that when I split the dose, it didn't feel as effective, so I tried one week to take the full dose, and I haven't split a dose since. (I take Tirzepatide)

If it was me, I would finish my week out as I have done previously, and on my next dose, I would take a full 4mg and sit with it for a week. It's hard to tell how long you have been at 3mg a week, but for me, I need the effect of 1 weekly dose.
