I am so, so grateful to a friendly person on Reddit, who directed me here. The conversation there is so stifled because we have to be uber careful about what we say. I am new to the world of peptides, but have been using forums since the early '90s (when you downloaded all the conversations, typed up your replies, then uploaded them over a baud connection - LOL!). I have to give credit to Reddit though... I learned so much there, and found the confidence to start this journey.
I'm going to be taking my 3rd dose of .25mg sema tomorrow. I'm getting ready to order a kit, but am very worried it won't get here before my initial 2mg vial runs out. And I can not stomach paying Arctic prices again when I now know about more direct sourcing. I keep falling down the peptide research rabbit hole, and am excited about the possibilities.
I had RNY 18 years ago, and lost 120lbs. I kept it off for over 10 years. Then about 5 years ago I suddenly, inexplicably gained over 50 pounds. It seems stuck to me, and I had almost given up hope when my doctor recommended semaglutide. My insurance wouldn't pay for it, so I was just sad for a few months. Then I found the sema subreddit, and then the sema compounding sub, and yadda, yadda, yadda - now I am here!
I eat a primarily whole foods plant based diet (WFPB), which is vegan and no added oil. I've been eating that way for 2 years and thought the weight would melt off of me. It didn't :-/
I can't wait to jump into the fray here!
