SRY/ Paying with Venmo or crypto

Hi everyone, Im not new to grey but had been using one supplier for the past few years that disappeared. Im going to go with SRY now and the only payment methods accepted are venmo and crypto. I purposely selected SRY from the spreadsheet because it said they took alipay, but that may have been awhile ago. I paid him with Venmo goods and services and calculated the extra fee and sent that as well. He left a note on the payment that he cannot accept anything but friends and family (did not mention this before) yesterday. I asked him to refund and I will re send as FF. Hasnt refunded or responded to my whats app yet, but Im sure he will.

Is this standard now where you can only pay via unprotected methods? Im no stranger to buying things overseas from my biz, and have several experiences where if something goes wrong the only protection I had was my payment method. I dont anticipate this, but still paying via friends and family makes me uneasy. Thoughts?

This was on the trizep help spreadsheet and verified the number/email before contacting. I paid with goods/services so there is protection.

Who did you work with at sry and how did you contact them? Is there a chance you got scammed by a fake sry rep? you might try connecting with them on their discord. i don't know if i'm allowed to put a discord link here though..

I'm not seeing that contact number anywhere. You should try and get in touch with Alan, maybe he can help you out, but I think your money might be gone.

If a vendor gets too many transactions as goods and services their account could get flagged as a merchant account, which would cause all their transactions to get hit with higher fees. That's why they'd ask for friends and family on PayPal or Venmo.

good news, the whatsapp number OP used is legit, it goes straight to the head honcho. but the tirzhelp people have updated the spreadsheet anyway with all the current reps numbers.

edit: i contacted stairmaster on telegram who verified the number with known sry employees.

Update 1/18 - Found out through another SRY rep Hailey from discord that the whatsapp Ive been talking to is a Rep named Alan. He has not responded AT ALL after I sent the money on Wednesday even though I sent multiple messages asking what the issue is, just left a comment on my payment. He never stated "friends and family only" just requested venmo or crypto, which I dont have. Hailey said shed look into it but nothing has happened so far. Will keep everyone updated. Never had this experience when I used cool achieve, everything was super smooth.

I think Alan is the main dude. I wouldn't expect anything from him until after CNY.

I hope not, he said it would be shipped before CNY. Just joined, will try there if no update from Hailey by Monday
