Hi I'm posting this to talk about my experience as a fairly new user of Reta. I've been on Reta for 4 weeks now and haven't moved the scale much at all. I maybe lost 3 pounds over this period. I feel like I'm constantly starving myself yet lossing nothing I started with 1mg and have been going .5 up every 2 weeks and its helped a bit with the hunger. I got it before I joined this forum so lowkey it might be boof but I'm trying to see if anyone has any advice on actually loosing weight using Reta. Trust and believe I've been reading around on this forum for a week or two and have picked up some things just was looking for some personal feedback.

I’ll let the more experienced Reta users chime in, but you are 4 weeks in on a starter dose. You did 1mg x2 and 1.5mg x2 and now at 2mg? Is that correct?

To increase the dose smoothly yet aggressively, you can split the new dose (like 4 mg) to twice a week (like 2 mg every 3.5 days).

Personally, I think it's often a disservice to start reta so low at 0.5 mg, since that can actually increase appetite for some. And, as said above, 2 mg is for adjusting to reta, not miraculous weight loss.

If you are still running low on reta supply, a reliable domestic option is somewhere in the reviews section.

I think the biggest thing for Reta is that it is not like other glps. You can still overeat on reta. Dont just assume because you’re on Reta it’s taken all of the work out of losing weight. Still count your calories and eat clean, it doesn’t matter if you are on 12mg of Reta, if you are not in a calorie deficit, you won’t lose weight.

At the end of the day, 3 pounds is still 3 pounds, good job! It’s not a staggering amount but you are also still adjusting to the medicine at a low dose. If I followed you correctly, you are only at 1.5 mg which means you are still below the starting dose for what the clinical trials did.

Are you doing anything other than taking Reta? Macro tracking, cardio, eating less, strength training, etc….all things you could/should be doing in conjunction with taking this to optimize weight loss. Just as you can over eat you can also under eat and train your body to rely on 1200 calories a day to the point your metabolism slows. I’d aim for a 300-400 daily deficit from whatever your current baseline is.
