Started a new diet, the "anti-oxidant" diet. Results pending:

Pushing late 30's, things like grey hair, thinning hair, intolerance to certain medications etc. begin to emerge.

Oxidation is the product of stress via age and other things, resulting in compromised gene expression, protein synthesis, metabolic function, enzyme activity.

Basically theory is if I flood my body with as much anti-oxidants as possible, it provides the optimal counter measure to oxidation.

Anti-oxidants are found across several food sources but the primary strategy is:

  • avoid processed foods, they're super high in toxins/oxidants
  • only whole foods, including meat/animal protein sources and carbs
  • the base of every meal is anti-oxidant rich foods

My typical daily meal planning looks like:

1) coffee in morning with cinamon, clove powder and raw honey
2) large glass of fresh pressed juice. Prepped in a masticating juicer: carrots, pineapple, kale, celery, parsley, apples, turmeric, ginger, one teaspoon pepper. Different recipes can be used of course. This is the most pronounced part of the anti-oxidant routine.
3) Bananas for snacks
4) fruit salad into the afternoon for more anti-oxidants: mango, kiwi, berries, cantaloupe or papaya, with a lime and honey syrup.

5) Dinner is a salad or steamed veg base, with air fried potato/sweet-potato mix. Whole animal protein like chicken or beef with seasoning.
Some sauce like southwest, chilli, lemon/honey dressing.

6) later is wholegrain muesli, not that high sugar crap.

7) sweet tooth is whole oat bars or carrot cake with greek yoghurt.

8) chewing on sugar free gum in between meals for dental health.

I spent years eating absolute junk food and trashed my body in the process, skin went terrible, hair got grey'ish and thin etc.

Completely turned everything around, seeing if damage is salvageable or reversible.
