Got my first vials of Reta on the way and wondering if to start on 0.5 or 1.0?

Been on 5.0mg of Tirz for nearly a year so am wondering if to start low on Reta and go from there?

I started on 1.5 and I definitely felt the changes. I was on 1.5 for about 3 weeks before I changed to 2mg. Been on it for 5 weeks. I like the way my body has been reacting to low doses while working up to higher doses. I am not sure where I will end up but I am excited to start the journey.

Are you still on tirz or did you quit before starting Reta?

I was on 2.5 Tirz for 3 months. Switched to 2mg of reta cold turkey and it felt a tad weaker. But after 4 weeks, went to 4mg of reta and for me that did the trick.

I started on .5 and felt nothing. Next week I went up to 1 and kind of felt it. Hit 1.5 the week after that and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Couldn’t really eat that week at all without feeling sick. Hadn’t tried any previous GLPs though. From 1.5 I’ve switched to split dosing and am at 2mg total a week now and still losing weight.

I was on Tirzepatide up until last week. I used it for almost the entire month of February; my last 2 weeks were at 3mg. On Monday (March 9, 2026) I started my Retatrutide at 2mg and I plan on staying at 2mg until next month, ill move up to 4mg if needed. I decided to follow the dosing titration and schedule that Eli Lilly did in the most recent trial.

As for side effects, I've been having trouble getting the same sleep I had on Tirzepatide and I had very mild nausea this morning because I had not eaten yet and I have noticed that I am able to eat a little more on Reta which is appreciated because I have to hit a high protein goal on a daily basis because I strength train and I was struggling very hard on Tirzepatide.

Don’t forget some of those carbs with the Reta too

Has anyone who was on 15mg of MJ moved over to Reta? And how have you found it? Did you also start on the lower dose? I'm giving TIRZ a go and I've just ordered MOTS-C to stack it with but currently I've not lost anything in months yet doing everything right so thinking I should probably start to think about changing.

what did you end up doing? i'm on 2.5mg tirz every other day since last june and i'm thinking of moving to reta.

I'm curious how tirzepatide users have transitioned to retatrutide, as I'm planning to do the same once I hit my goal weight. Is there typically any overlap period (for example, starting on a very low dose of reta while tapering down on tirz?) or is it generally a clean switch from one GLP to the other?

This is an estimate, a guess, based on a fairly comprehensive reading of the studies and what I see on forums.
A really simple, low risk formula would be just use 2/3 the tirz dose of reta, so 15mg tirz to 10 mg reta. If you want to be extra careful, then 1/2 the dose. Anything more conservative than this seems pretty unnecessary, there is no guarantee you wont get more side effects from that swapover as everybody's reactions to different glps are a bit different, but it is not likely. Reta is a bit more likely to increase heart rate more than tirz, so if you have heart disease, either don't use reta as it is not studied in that context yet or be very slow and careful with dose increases.
Fairly low risk and saves months of messing around upping doses super slowly. Once you see what side effects you get from the first dose or 2, you should get a better idea of how it will work for you and what to do with dose increases from there.
