Starting reta today!

That makes sense honestly. The vivid dream thing is probably the biggest recurring theme I keep hearing from people running tesa + ipa.

And yeah, from everything I’ve read so far, tesa vs CJC+IPA seems like one of those endless debates where both camps swear theirs is better. I’ve definitely seen more people specifically praise tesa for visceral fat/body composition though, which is what keeps me interested in it.

My goals are kind of mixed honestly — definitely body composition, but also recovery, sleep quality, inflammation, and overall long-term health/performance. I’m still training hard and staying active at 38, so I’m trying to optimize recovery without adding 15 compounds at once and having no clue what’s actually doing what.

DSIP stands for Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide by the way. It’s mostly talked about for sleep quality/deeper sleep. Weirdly enough, lower doses seem to work better for me than higher ones so far.
Why do you use dsip for sleep? You have bad sleep otherwise? How does it work out for you? Something you’d recommend? Im
About to do another order so I’m looking to fill the cart up 😅

I mostly started using it because I have a bad habit of waking up around 3am and then struggling to fall back asleep. I’m still experimenting with the dose, but so far it seems less about making me sleep longer and more about helping me stay asleep longer.

And if I do wake up in the middle of the night, it feels easier to fall back asleep instead of laying there wide awake for an hour.

Still way too early for me to confidently recommend it, but it’s definitely been interesting enough that I’m continuing to experiment with it.

I see, thanks for sharing.

WEEK 7 UPDATE

WEIGHT

Last week: 91.4kg / 201.5 lbs
Now: 91.0kg / 200.6 lbs
Difference: -0.4kg / +0.9 lbs

I still don’t understand why I’m not losing more or faster because I am definitely on a very high deficit. I’m eating only 1500 kcal most days and my TDE is supposedly 2400 kcal.

PROTOCOL
5.0 mg reta Friday afternoon (9 pm ish today)

Last week I did 4.0 mg and I have had amazing hunger suppression so far. It honestly would be the lowest effective dose I could take I think. It is real hunger suppression where I simply can skip meals and when I eat I will only eat a small portion. Amazing. I have upped to 5.0 mg because I want to try to see if it makes fasting easier.

DIARY
I am eating 1500 kcal most days except fridays and saturdays when I eat around 2500 kcal. I should therefore be on a weekly deficit of around 5000 kcal.

PLANS FORWARD
See how it feels on 5.0 mg and titrate up to 6.0 by week 9 (next next week). This would be in line with the trials where they do 2.0 mg, then 4.0 mg then at start of week 9 6.0 mg.

SIDE NOTE
Despite not losing that much weight I am definitely visually seeing that my belly have lost a lot of fat. So I am very happy about the progress. And I do actually prefer to weigh a lot versus weighing little. The most import thing is to lose the fat and get around 15% or so body fat. I’m probably currently at 25%.

How long were you on 4mg? Are you weighing once a week, or more? I've had weeks where I've gained some, like 1-1.5lbs. No biggie, it happens.
I was on 4 mg for just one week. I titrated up to it over the course of 4 weeks prior. And yes you are absolutely right about not losing and even gaining sometimes and it’s no biggie. Especially because I see a visual reduction on my stomach!

I try and stay on a dose for 4 weeks like the Lilly study.
Yup that was my original plan as well to stay on 4 mg for 4 weeks. 4 mg works so well on me I was impatient to see if 5 mg would make a difference which I why I’m took 5 mg this week. The study had most people lose their most weight on 4-6 mg so i think I do 6 mg at max dose.

What is your dosage these days?

I'm at 2nd week at 8mg, and it rocks. My scale is very happy.
Love to hear it!

Do you get that “sunburn” feeling on your skin? I’m getting it enough for it to be mildly annoying if I am not doing anything. If I am doing something then I don’t even think about it.

I've had nothing like that at all buddy. Honestly, only thing is a little heartburn at bedtime, but that seems to have gone away. Used to get it bad, especially on pin day. Maybe sleeping, but gummys help. Note to self, don't take the second half at 4, thinking it's midnight. I woke up at 6, walked to the kitchen and started coffee and was messed up. I had to lay on the couch for 45 minutes. lol
