Hey all just want to say this forum has been so helpful, I’m on the younger side of people using Reta and been navigating the world of peps for around a month.

I just ordered my first 30mg vial of Reta and I have everything I need. My main questions are what diet I should try to stick too/ foods that help with digestion and side affects.

Constipation can be an issue, so ensure you are getting in enough fibre or supplement with something along the lines of metamucil

Protein. We're doing Reta. We're doing a watch your carbs diet, not completely cutting it out. Basically nothing white, like potatoes, bread, pasta and so on. Breakfast is an egg white muffin (wife make these) and a home made sausage patty. Lunch is a protein shake with whey protein (about 24G), oat bran and collagen peptide. Dinner is a small piece of some type of meat with cottage cheese, or salad or steamed veggie. If I cook huge chicken boobs, we get two meals, only one thigh now, split pork steaks or a pork chop each. We do steak once in a while, but maybe a 4oz piece. My wife had constipation at first, but that's gone. One thing I do, but up to you, I only weigh myself once a week as not to get discouraged. These guys here have way more experience than me, but I read my ass off before starting. I also started a spread sheet tracking the shot mg, weight and date of the pin along with reconstitution amounts and pin volume. Good luck

Definitely sounds like you knowledgeable haha, Thanks definitely gonna be leaning towards the protein heavy diet as I feel that’s the easiest route to go with meats and etc. Do you drink any juices/protein shakes? Thinking of stocking up on these as I usually don’t have time to eat until 12pm (work at 5am).

I second Metamucil but, I do a cup in the morning and evening, really is the food lube your intestine needs!
Definitely gonna try this just a powder you put into water or?

Don't cut carbs on RETA, it needs carbs to work properly.

Take iron supplements if you think you will need them.

Don't dose/titrate up too quickly. Reta isn't like other GLP1's where the only way too lose weight is to stop eating.

100% the fibre . Psyllium husk is my friend .

And really high protein, for me that means over 100g a day . I need to take wpi to achieve that. If you don't keep up the protein you'll start loosing muscle as well as fat on your weight loss journey .Defo require some exercise.

High protein can make you constipated , thus the psyllium is needed.

Defo keep up green and other coloured vegetables , salad. And a clean diet . Reta helps with this.

No juices.

Yeah, I get it from Amazon, and a bunch of flavors. I use 8-10oz water right from the fridge dispenser. The oat bran is fiber, so it helps with the pooping deal. I saw the carb comment, and he's right, you still need carbs. We just watch the ones we eat. This powder below is one we have now. I thought it was 28g of protein, it's actually 24.

Definitely will get some when I run out of my tub, honestly a really solid price. That’ll help with pooping for sure and probably gonna mix with psyllium husk like some have recommended.

If you can handle raw psyllium husk and water this works out far cheaper , and I feel healthier.

Mix in a few tea spoons , stir in cold water and quickly take it like a tequila shot before it turns to jelly.

Sounds good haha I’ll thug it out anything I can do to save some money I will haha.

I've eaten like crap this week. Cinnamon rolls, totinos party pizza, pasta, KFC sandwich, dr pepper zeros..... I usually concentrate on protein, fiber, and total calories and getting electrolytes and water (I get leg cramps).

Once you get into Reta, you'll find a limit in which you feel full. Like, eating more will literally feel uncomfortable if not horrible. For me, it's about 500 calories per meal. I think psychologically, the most important thing to know if you've always liked food is that you'll make mistakes. Food can be delicious! Don't beat yourself up over it. Enjoy it while you do it, and keep working on making good habits. We didn't all learn to eat well or cleanly. Sometimes we live in a place where it's hard to get good healthy food. This is the best chance work on that. Make those 500 calories per meal meet your macros and taste good too.

A cinnabon cinnamon roll is about 800 calories. I have no regrets.

I feel this so much haha, what has your process been on Reta if I may ask? Do you usually just eat kind of whatever again no judging I do the same thing while off Reta currently and I’m semi active only reason I’m not obese lol. I want a diet that’s very easy to follow and sometimes cheat here and There with pleasure food.

I had a bad reaction to Tirz, like PTSD inducing, so I've been upping my Reta slowly twice a week. According to shotsy app, I'm hovering between 4-6 mgs Reta now. When I weighed in today I was about 4 lbs down from a week and a half ago. Altogether, I've gone from 289lbs to about 245lbs since September with a month break between Tirz and Reta. Goal weight is about 200 if I can manage. I shoot for between 1500-1800 calories a day because I'm pretty sendentary.

My weight loss philosophy fits my psychology. I'm not going to deny myself something if I really want it, but I'm going to eat less of it than I did before. Ex, one piece of pizza instead of the whole pizza. A sliver of cake on my brother's birthday, with most of the frosting removed. A cinnamon roll if I have the calorie space and my face needs it. I feel that denial is too much like punishing myself. I do buy Factor75 meals when I can afford it, because the protein, calories, and carbs are all figured out for me and most meals fit in that 5-600 calorie range. It also makes me eat things I'm not good at cooking, like vegetables, in ways I would never personally cook them. Also, 2 mins to cook in the microwave. I'm not ever saying you -should- buy meal plan food, but it works for me. I also wrap things in high fiber wraps/tortillas to make portable fiber filled food tubes. I'm not good at eating breakfast, and I've used both Huel and Soylent meal replacement drinks because they don't upset my stomach and again, calories, macros, and vitamins are already figured for me. Don't know if any of that appeals to you, but the biggest point I can make is that if you change everything and 'punish' yourself for mistakes, you're less likely to stick to the changes in the future. Be kind to yourself. You deserve it.

I absolutely love this take for sure, definitely think people are too hard when getting into a calorie deficit so it’s way harder to sustain. Definitely gonna look into those factor 75 meals as I try to find frozen meals to heat up at work frequently. Congrats on your success so far sounds like you’re doing great! I appreciate all your help definitely have opened my eyes a bit more to this journey.
