Your extra flesh on belly and hips is very likely extra skin too. The weight lifting should help.I decided to stay on my 9mg of Reta and start with the weights.

I am in the exact same situation. I am 3lbs from my goal and I'm not even close to looking like I did the last time I weighed this much.OK, I've lost 50lbs since first of January, and 5lbs from my goal. Everything is good, looks good except that damn stubborn belly fat, and love handles. How in the hell do I loose that, and tips/tricks. I know it'll likely be sit up and stuff.
Most guys that have extra fat in the gut area are carrying visceral fat. As sub-q fat tends to fall off pretty evenly, when you see a guy that seems to be carrying all their weight in the stomach area, that is usually what you are seeing. Without more information or pictures we can't really know for sure, that was just my assumption.Tesa was developed to address Visceral fat. That kind of fat that surrounds internal organs. Not love handles..
Does it also affect subQ fat?
Couple things, I'm older. Probably older than a bunch of you. Been retired for a couple of years and just don't do everything I used to, but I'm not a sit and watch TV all day guy. I cut my 3 lots myself, do all the trimming, yard work and everything else around here. I don't paint, I flipping hate painting. lol. Putting new luxury vinyl floors in the 3 spare bedrooms I do need to get back into some light weight stuff, sit ups and walking. I'll start doing what I can. That BMI came from my Renpho scale. The BMI is actually 22.6 and BF is 24%. I just looked vs my memory. Both have gone down slightly weekly when I weigh on Fridays. I appreciate all the input from everyone so far. Very helpful. At 22, you are in great shape. You can get down to 21 and check from there. Maybe 20.5 and still could go a little lower if need be.
Resistance is always good. Just for overall health. I like bodyweight stuff myself: pullups, pushups, squats, lunges (or static), hip thrusts, etc. Still use weights for various stuff though: deadlifts, shoulders, cable chest flies, rows, etc. Various ab type stuff: ab roller, supine leg raises, plank/extension push up, etc.
But if you want to just get lean-lean, you can do just stairmaster and row machine stage 2 cardio 15-20+ minutes a day, walk more, etc. I don't have the energy after resistance training to do that much. But I have added ~10 minutes of that to the end in the past.
The stubborn belly fat, usually the lower belly and love handles, typically starts going away faster around 12% body fat. At around 10%, it’s usually way thinner. But all these percentages are just a very general estimate, since some people can have a lean six-pack at 16% body fat because of their genetics. They might store more fat in their back and glutes instead.OK, I've lost 50lbs since first of January, and 5lbs from my goal. Looking at it from another point of view, I'd take a closer look at your diet. Eat at least your weight in protein (grams). Try to fit in a few weightlifting workouts each week to build muscle mass. More muscle can increase your overall calorie expenditure, and combined with reta, it may help with fat loss. Sit ups don't target belly fat, whatever some youtube videos may say. Belly fat is the most stubborn fat there is and will be the last bit of fat to leave your body.OK, I've lost 50lbs since first of January, and 5lbs from my goal. I quit using it about 6 months ago and switched to hgh and the results have been amazing.
So this was all on Reta? What did your titration look like from startup until now?OK, I've lost 50lbs since first of January, and 5lbs from my goal....
This is true. The visceral fat will push your belly outward. But many of us are a healthy weight now. Our "smart scales" (if they're to be believed) and bloodwork are telling us visceral fat is low. But we're able to pinch several inches of belly fat. So it's apparent to us that we've still got a fair amount of subcutaneous fat in the belly. One should obviously find out how much visceral fat they have before they start a tesa protocol but the general conclusions in this thread seems to be that if you do have subq fat on you're belly there is no use in tesa because that fat wont disappear? I mean one could obviously have visceral fat AND subq fat in their belly and a tesa protocol can remove some visceral fat and the belly will shrink even if there are subq fat that doesnt get removed 🤔

There aren’t really any tricks to lose fat specifically in that area. U just have to keep going with the deficit, and eventually it will come off with time, even if it’s stubborn.
People suggesting Tesa might have a point, since GHRH can have lipolytic effects, but it’s mostly known for reducing visceral fat, which is usually the fat that melts away earlier during a diet. Stubborn fat is usually subcutaneous.
I eat a ton of protein. Dinner is either steak, pork chops or steaks, chicken and fish along with a fresh steamed veggie or salad. I do get carbs.Looking at it from another point of view, I'd take a closer look at your diet. Eat at least your weight in protein (grams). It could also be hormonal. In men, excess fat around the abdomen and chest can sometimes be associated with hormonal imbalances, although there can be many other causes as well. If that's a concern, it may be worth discussing with a healthcare professional. Maybe do some bloodwork see what the testosteron and estrogen levels say? 🙂
All Reta. From 1/9/26.So this was all on Reta? What did your titration look like from startup until now?
Do you track your macro's? You can easily do so with MFP (and many other apps probably).I eat a ton of protein. Dinner is either steak, pork chops or steaks, chicken and fish along with a fresh steamed veggie or salad. I do get carbs.
There's no such thing as stubborn belly fat and stubborn love handles. This is gonna be brutal, but you're just not as lean as you think you are. The only way to get rid of your stubborn belly fat and love handles is to simply get leaner and shed more pounds on the scale. Once you have zero belly fat and love handles, the number on the scale is gonna be significantly less than you had initially planned in your mind. And that's just the reality of fat loss. Right now, I've reached a point where I have absolutely zero belly fat and love handles and have a lot of veins on my abs and stomach. And to reach basically not having any belly fat, you're gonna have to cut a lot more fat than you think.OK, I've lost 50lbs since first of January, and 5lbs from my goal. That aswell many people underestimate their bodyfat, they stuck around 18-20% thinking its only 3-4kg when in reality its usually like 10-12kgThere's no such thing as stubborn belly fat and stubborn love handles. Heck no, and thanks.Do you track your macro's? You can easily do so with MFP (and many other apps probably).
If you are eating clean on top of the Reta i would just wait it out, you'll get there eventually. But that's my personal opinion, your BMI is perfect at this point tho, congratz on losing all that 😀
I never said I was lean Doctor Crowreap. I asked a question on how to deal with it. You're pretty good at reading mine and know what I think. There is a legit FDA warning about those. A female model got infected with a form of leprosy, during those kindof injections at a med spa. It was so horrible looking that her doctors did not want her going to the beach, afraid she would cause a panic.Another thing that worked well for me was Korean fat-dissolving injections.
Not all fat dissolvers are the same. Formulation matters. She went to a med spa.. God knows what they injected her with. I don't even get my peps from med spas. If you really do take the FDA seriously, there are FDA approved fat dissolvers as well. There is a legit FDA warning about those. I’m not on Reta, Tirz, or Cagri. I'm on Test as HRT, not blasting. Happens when you're old. Most of you guys give way too much credit to HGH. If it is so great, stop taking reta, tirz, cagri, test, etc. The bro-ification of this forum is a complete joke.

I don’t expect everyone to agree on GH. People respond differently, and that’s fine. But dismissing GH the way you are or telling people not to use something that may genuinely improve their health and quality of life, is completely inappropriate and out of line.
IGF-1 promotes undesirable growth too—like cancer growth and accelerated aging. IGF-1 is one of the most powerful promoters of cancer growth ever discovered for cancers of the breast, prostate, lung, and colon. Overstimulation of growth by IGF-1 leads to premature aging too—and reducing IGF-1 levels is “anti-aging.”
The general consensus among endocrinologists is that hgh and related therapies are not worth the risks, ( for things like obesity or sarcopenia ) except in cases of severe deficiency caused by specific diseases or brain damage
Secretagogues and hgh probably make a small difference to body composition , few percent at most unless using unsafe doses.
