I’ve been taking 4mg of Reta every 6 days and have been on it since February. I haven’t changed my diet, dose, or times I’ve been dosing. My activity level has been consistent with moderate cardio and heavy resistance training. I haven’t had any of the, what seem to be, infamous Sulfur burps or heartburn until now. Is there any reason why I’m just now getting the sides?

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I did get sulphur burps for the very first time recently after adding .6 mg Survo. Tirz for a year almost now, and not one sulphur burp. What is it about the glucagon?
Sorry for answering your question with one of my own lol.

Side effects general go away with time. My overall heartburn is gone, except pin day. Sleep sucks though and started midway through 6mg. I'm on 8mg now.

I had light heartburn eating, kind of like heartburn early on and it was gone by the 6th week.

Do you track your diet? Are you digesting something which because of the Reta being digested slower could contribute to that? Say kimchi and eggs...

I've had the Tirzepatide Sulfur burps/ heartburn. Now on Reta suddenly out of nowhere I have so much gas I could probably power a small country 😂
From what im thinking is maybe a slow cumulative effect / buildup in your and or my system?
I'm going to keep Hydration/electrolyte stocked up in my body.

guessing, maybe our bodies just decided “phuck it, time for sides”
I think people report the sulfur burps/gas/heartburn hitting randomly months in even with stable dosing. What’s helped me: (Gas-X) ,Digestive enzymes with meals, A little extra ginger tea or peppermint. Sometimes dropping the dose slightly for a week or two lets it calm down?

You’re definitely not alone on this one. Hang in there. (burp)

Theres these pills I brought on Amazon they’re like probiotics with enzymes they work awesome. You don’t have to buy the same ones, but just research them.

I got them from the beginning. They got really bad at 2mg. Then I started taking a probiotic with Acidophilus, I haven't had them since.

Been on Reta for 5.5 months. Only get the sulfur burps if I’m not hydrating enough.

Thankfully I only had the sulphur burps for a few weeks once on tirz and then they went away. It more or less has to be a microbiome issue where something in the small or large intestine is producing h2s gas. Unless you are eating a lot of eggs. And could easily be caused by the GLP or diet or weight changes.
If the heartburn is a problem, it is probably safer to treat it than not treat it. Proton pump inhibitors are available over the counter, and if bad a medical consult would be a good idea.

Otherwise, probiotics, fiber supplements to attempt to alter the microbiome?
